Being upset with the team, or down because they're losing, does not mean someone jumped off the bandwagon. It's honestly a worse attitude to tell someone that they're not a real fan because they think the team needs a new coach, or a new GM, or just a new direction in general.
You are misunderstanding me. I've explained it so many times it's getting tiresome.

Stotts should go, he’s a great players coach but I think this team needs a coach who has been deep in the playoffs before.....they also need to trade anything/everything not named Dame for Kawhi.
They are people, not things!!

:gasoline:

This is simple to me. If Terry Stotts worked at my bodyshop and kept doing stupid shit and fucking up cars left and right he'd be fired. Being nice and everyone's favorite buddy wouldn't stop it.

I had a boss ask me about a woman who was our parts person. She is literally the meanest woman I've ever met. He asked if she should be fired and I said "no fucking way, she is excellent at her job"

Results are what matters to me. If you think Stotts is doing a great job then by all means vote to keep him. If you think he should stay because Damian loves him then no.

Imagin Lillard at the end of next season:

Media: Damian, how do you feel about your first MVP award?
Lillard: Props to our new coach. Coach Stotts was like father to me and I love him, but new coach took me to new places, ve put me and the team on the next level. We got this toughness and purpose in us now. I just love his work. i love like we going forward.

I have seen several posts from the pessimistic group claim they are realists and accuse an optimistic fan of not being a real fan. Maybe you just block them out.

Any links to persuade us of what no one else remembers?

For the Blazers its always going to be mediocre talent and mediocre coaches who try to shape themselves into something greater.

Dame is not mediocre. He will be 4th on most MVP ballots and will be All NBA First Team. This series is the only playoff series two First Team players are in so something has to give. This team is not mediocre. We won 49 games and got 3 seed. The Clippers are mediocre. The Bucks are mediocre. Our coach is not mediocre. Stotts will receive COTY votes. Two losses to the Pelicans the last few days doesn't erase all of this. Our team is headed in the right direction. 8 win improvement this year. This series isn't over. If we do lose the series, we learn from it and try to improve team. Doesn't mean we have to trade all our players. We are the youngest team in the playoffs. Be patient. We're not some over the hill joke of a team. We're on the rise.

Do you know that if we get swept that will be 10 consecutive playoff losses for Stotts? That is not good enough.
6 of those were to the Warriors so relax. And we haven't been swept so don't jump to 10 straight losses just yet.

Stotts and Dame have won 11 playoff games by the way. Anthony Davis has won 2. And they've all been in the league the same amount of time.

I've had mean bosses. They were all ass holes and made the project worse. In my line of work you need someone who will work with you.

The only guy to ever throw me out of his office was cheating the government by taking their money and not doing what the contract said they should do. When I challenged him on it he threw me out. I should have reported him but he had the support of upper management and it would have been a major hassle. I had a very good buddy who was offered a job that would have meant being this ass hole's boss but instead he quit and started his own company. It was in Texas and I was not going to relocate.

My best boss was at Tektronix and he was great. We got mountains of really good work done.

It all depends on whether this imaginary person is a team player or not. So far, none of the good workers I've worked for or with were both ass holes and team players.

Hasn't Davis only won one?

First, I'm not interested in persuading anyone

Second, if you want to search through thousands of posts, be my guest.

Over/under on how much of this Olshey says, too?

I have no idea what you mean by usual suspects, but you not seeing any doesn't mean they don't exist.

Cup, he is right. If not, find a few and quote them.

Im a homer. Optimist. Ive been called as such, but never been called not a fan.

For real though, if they get blown out in the next game how can they bring him back at that point?

This fell to the 2nd page - unacceptable!

Also the "if" in the thread title needs to be changed to "when".
