I can’t remember, but have we ever talked about this possibility?
What do you guys think? Too tough for me to answer
But he brought us out of the Jail Blazer eraNo.
Never made it out of the first round of the playoffs.
Tenure was too short.
Has shunned Portland post-career.
Jerome Kersey is more deserving.
I give Paul Allen credit for that as well as Nate ..as a coach Nate was much needed stability and the front office needed to retool the roster with good guys ....I don't think Brandon had anymore to do with it than being an actual good guy and talented player. The collective roster was just much better suited towards high character players than high maintenance guys. But he brought us out of the Jail Blazer era
That was going to happen regardless. Or the team would have been run out of town. But he brought us out of the Jail Blazer era
The argument you could make is that if the team was meh, the fans wouldn't come back and the team would move to Seattle...That was going to happen regardless. Or the team would have been run out of town.
He didn't do anything of note here and hasn't been an ambassador for the team. The argument you could make is that if the team was meh, the fans wouldn't come back and the team would move to Seattle...
It is pretty clear that Roy was the face of the team that brought the fans back...
Maybe the city should retire his jersey instead of the team.
Let me guess, Pinball, Steel, Neil & GrossPortland should un-retire a few numbers before they retire more

Twab nabbySounds like a comedy about 4 misfit law school graduates who go into business together.
Pinball is a high-functioning drug user, Steel is an MMA fighter in his spare time, Neil is the straight man who holds the team together, and Gross is, well, gross (yet somehow irresistible to women, unlike the other 3).
Hi-jinks ensue.

Retiring jerseys should be reserved for exceptional accomplishments. I don't think he ever even won a playoff series.

No, I don't think that's true. There was an iron clad lease the Blazers could not get out of for another 15 years. They had no choice but to fix the Jailblazer image unless they wanted to lose money for over a decade.I believe that is exactly what I said about him in my original answer, but we have to admit that without the support for 'his' team, there is a good chance it would have been moved...
