You guys still have 2 phenomenal players in Dame and CJ and a dominant big man in Nurkic. The series didn't turn out as expected for anyone, but the outcome of this series is not completely indicative of how much better the Pelicans are.

As a fan base, I know this blows for yall, but those players need to feel support. Because a dangerous Blazers team is good for the West and good for the NBA. I mean this win for the Pelicans wouldn't feel as good if it wasn't against such a dangerous opponent. And I have a lot of respect for a team that didn't quit tonight.

Good luck BlazerBros

Nurk is far from dominant.

IMO, Collins is the COTF. He has the perfect skill-set of a modern NBA center.

Thanks man. Good post.
I wish you guys the best of luck vs Warriors. I don't hate your team like I do Houston and Golden State. I'll be rooting for you guys to upset somebody.

couldn't blame you if you had a little hate. it got chippy today.

Thanks. I will be watching to see how you do with GS. Your guards have been playing like a top backcourt and AD is stepping up to that top level. I think it will be a tough series for GS. Hoping you can pull the upset.

These are the takes from every casual fan who didn't follow our team like we did.

Who followed this team knows this is a mediocre roster full of flaws with an overrated duo leading the charge, basketball purgatory at his best.

Pretty much this. This team would of been A LOT better had not we have an incompetent coach in Stotts. He's maxed out as far as what he is capable of bringing to the team. The real silver lining is in that Mark Jackson's firing led to something better and this window is the only exciting thing to look forward to. Hard to argue going 0-4 to the Pelicans. Tough luck Stotts, Dame can't bail your ass out anymore. He deserves better and so do we.

The series (and season) is over. I have no reason to hate the Pelicans. Tho I won't be upset when they get steam rolled by the Warriors.

However, I will hate the Rockets no matter what.

I really hate "look on the brightside" posts, but hey I'm rooting for the Pelicans. Davis is pure joy to watch and Jrue Holiday finally turned into a helluva player. It'll be a tough road, but it would be pretty amazing if the Dubs got dethroned by an upstart like NO.

Thanks man. You've been a very respectful fan here, and that's rare. Good luck to ya'll. You guys deserve it.

I swear I'm not salty, NOP did things we didn't adjust to and deserved to win this series.

That said, while Davis is a bona fide MVP candidate, I find it hard to believe that Rondo or Mirotic will ever have a stretch of games that good again (Rondo literally increased his per-game stats over 50%). Holiday played his ass off, hat's off to him, but this is like CJ going for 50. Sure, he can do it, but it's rare and don't even think about counting on it.

Good luck next round.

Wait, wait, wait....

You calling someone else a casual fan?

Flawed roster, but you didn't post at all during our 13-game winning streak.

Shut up.

I don't necessarily disagree. The Pels are playing with crazy confidence. But much of that was built out of the adversity this team faced and the leadership of Rondo. We've never had a vet like him, ever. I think without Rondo, these tables turn and the Pels get swept.

In fact I doubt we even make the playoffs without Rondo

That's funny because I actually really like everyone on your team aside from Rondo.

I have no hate towards the Pelicans. Y'all whooped our ass (I don't care if we lost by 2 or 20, we never stood a chance) ... PLEASE beat the warriors!

lol trust me, I'd love nothing more than to beat the ever loving-crap out of those jerks.

Also if its any consolation I'd much rather talks hoops here that with those annoying/douchebag fans from the Bay Area. I'd get hostile REAL quick

they don't know how to spell anything other than Steph Curry. They haven't been educated on anything else.

Good luck to you guys!
You have a very nice team with a good mix of youth and veteran leadership. Good coach too.
You guys match up well against the Warriors go get em.

You are free to hang out and chat as long as you want. We usually have discussion about the other playoff games and series in the "Around the NBA" thread.

You've been really respectful and it is appreciated. No need to kick us when we are down...haha

thanks brotha. tbh I thought I've never hear the phrase "good coach too" lol

I think we will have obvious troubles against GSW esp since we don't have a wing defender for KD. I think we'll see a similar defensive game plan and double KD, but idk how we effective it'll be. Watch, we are going to ask Jrue to guard KD. We've asked him before and he's done decent. I mean there's only an 8 inch difference between the 2

We'll loan you Aminu for this series.

If only that asshole did anything when he was in New Orleans in the first place he might still be here lol

fun fact: I'm connected with Aminu on linkedin because I was curious if he was going to go into the private sector after the Pelicans let him go
