Hey, Hey, Hey! You're a shit-stirrer that doesn't use your own name.
Read The Book of Basketball. I think you'd enjoy it. Tons of stuff that I never even knew about regarding the NBA.
Or, just call the guy a "moron" after admitting that you never "read his stuff". That's probably easier.
I can't speak for Ed, but I used to read him, then I determined he was a moron, so I stopped reading.
He lives in LA.
Who gives a fuck if someone doesn't want to live where you want to live you big fucking girls.
Thrilla I'm curious, why do you hate him so much? What in particular?
and I don't claim to be funny.
I don't think much of what he says is genuine. I also don't like his writing style. And he's inconsistent with his opinions. He is a jackass
They built a freeway on a desert and called it LA. And demanded the rest of the country worship.
Not sour grapes, I've lived there. My father is still in the area and whenever I visit I choke driving through LA. Hot, parched, smoggy. Give me San Francisco fog or a nice clean Northwest drizzle any day.
As I said I travel quite a bit for work and when they find out I am originally from Portland they often ask. "Does it really rain every day there?" I feel like saying "yes you fucking moron every single day".
It's like when people say that LA is hot and smoggy everyday?

I wonder why, if Portland is such a terrible place to live for NBA players, why do so many of them who played here come back to live after they retire? Even a guy like Rasheed Wallace - who was basically ran out of town - is coming back to live. I guess it's not such a bad place once you actually spend some time here.

Um, the Bay Area, especially the East Bay, isn't much better.
Having lived in LA for 3 years in my early twenties, I'd say it's pretty damn close unless you are a mile or so from the coast.
So many? Over the years, who? Maybe a few.
I lived outside P-Town for 25 years. I've also lived in Phoenix, Anchorage, Salt Lake City, Tacoma, outside Reno, Seoul-Korea, in addition to owning a place in Florida and now I live in Central America. It's all a matter of perspective and preference. If you like 3 boring seasons of dreary-drizzle, PacNW is perfect. If you like sun and heat, or distinct seasons, Portland blows - literally.

Is Breaks of the Game good? Maybe. I dunno. I haven't read it. I read a lot of other things, though, where I have greater confidence it's worth my time...
