My god, whose is bashing him? Go cry a river comment is bashing him?

Or that he is will post negativity about Simons every week?

“toxic bullshit” was his comment, I just replied back the same thing.

If you and others hasn’t seen, Nate has gotten into the same thing with many other people on, MANY!!

so before you think people are attacking someone, why don’t you look at the person that is always in the middle of this kinda stuff, which would be Nate.

My thoughts are some of you guys a super sensitive bunch man lol
Here’s the deal bro.

You don’t post much on here. You don’t even have 400 posts yet.

But in your last 200 posts, 35 of them were about me in some way, shape, or form. That means that almost 2 out of every 10 posts is about me.

Long story short, I’m living in your head rent free. Meanwhile I rarely see what you do post, unless someone quoted you and I’m curious what I’m missing.

Sir, I'm one of those who has gotten into it with him to the point he was cussing at me. It ain't no big thing. Its a forum. It can get nasty but what happens in the forum stays… SHOULD stay in the forum.
With that said, i didn't say you attacked him. I didn't even refer to you, but this post seems to indicate you may also be sensitive to my pointing out the purpose of the thread is a negative tilt to Ant.

Anyone entering this thread expecting anything other than negativity is just setting themselves up for disappointment. To single out Nate and not the thread creator is a fairly obvious sign of bias opinion.

So then nate posts his opinions on the thread topic and you call him out for being constantly negative, but nothing about the negative OP?

And you wonder why he thinks you have it out foe him?

There is a flip side to his point of view. There is also a flip side to your point of view.
The optimal outcome is a compromise.
Im not calling you out anymore than you claim you are not attacking Nate.
I simply made some observations about this thread topic and the resulting content within.
Um, now go back and look at my posts. I actually replied to the guy already who made this thread and gave my thoughts.

I didn’t see that guy getting butt hurt though

the rest of what you said it’s just smoke since you seemed to think I didn’t reply the guy who made this and only Nate lol

Give it a break bro, you keep showing why you only have a couple people who you get along with here and why you’re so polarized on here.

You get butt hurt so easily it’s funny.

Now enough is enough, you had your little hizzy fit and I hope you feel better now.

last I speak of this.

And here I was worrying that, now that the issue of whether to rebuild or not has been put to bed, there wouldn't be anything left to argue about...err...discuss.

Ant is fine for the rebuild if he's not the primary ball handler when Scoot is in the game.

I think the Blazer offense should be one that creates lanes for Scoot and Sharpe to attack the hoop, not for Simons and Grant to get the ball first.

Both Simons and Grant are good outside shooters, so they do fit. Just don't design the offense for them or around them.

Ayton needs to be moving aound. Both to keep the lane clear for Sharpe and Simons, and to create better scoring opportunities for himself as a cutter/lob threat on the weak side when the defense collapses on Scoot and Sharpe.
I like your take and the fact that it is a take on Blazers basketball as opposed to a repetitive take on forum etiquette. That's not supposed to be bashing on @Natebishop3 or @sheed30 I think these guys should be able to have their conversation it's just terrible when it's pages (to posters that don't have @THE HCP settings) inside an actual thread about our team and specifically how one player fits on it.

Again, you make great points about how Ant and Jerami could fit with this rebuild. I just really hope Chauncey sees them the way you do.

So what you're saying is that negativity on sports boards has increased because to greater and greater degree they're populated by grumpy old men?
That could part of it for sure. But not with this Old man, mostly...
Actually I think the Internet social media stuff is where people go to criticize players, people, teams, issues. Which is free speech and Im all for it.

The Pistons looked horrible again. All their lottery picks (7th, 1st, 5th, 5th) from the last 4 drafts were available.
Simons would fit fantastically with that team.

Zzzzz, oh look everyone, Simons is now the new scapegoat everyone will be complaining about.

Soon to be Ayton as the season goes on, this forum does what it does best, complain

Well then go cry a river if you’re so done with it. Guess that means we have to listen to your complaints every week now lol.

complaining about Simons in the past and being a scapegoat are two different things.

He has become the scapegoat here already and that’s also tiresome for many people on here that have to read people constantly complaining 24/7

These two posts do not read the same. One is about the thread. The other is about the person….

So forgive me for omitting your fair post to the OP and focusing on your personal post to Nate.
I didnt see you laying into the op regarding behavior and personal history like you do Nate.

Sir, you lost all credibility because of the bolded part. But I am humbled that you think so highly of me, likely undeservedly.
Naw man, you and Weisenheimer basically always bring it with facts, nuance and depth. It was sincere. There are lots of posters I like BlazerKor is awesome, Tbpup, Sharpe's Triumph, Riverman, and many many more. I like the vast majority of posters for their humor, good nature, and often how informed they are. I basically like people who I either already largely agree with, or who are able to change my opinion with an awesome argument and facts.

I want to understand what is a complaint. Set a baseline.

Anfernee Simons is a undersized combo guard who is score first and bad at defense.

Is that a complaint or a fact? Is there anyone who disagrees with these statements?

eye of the beholder

it's the description itself that adds the complaints.

examples:
Reggie Miller, think.. hall of fame legend, league's best sniper, big $money$ shot taker

or should people think;

Reggie Miller: Undersized combo guard who was score first, bad at defense
____

Shaquille O'Neil, one of the best Centers in history, powerful low block scoring, intimidating presence.

or should people think;

Shaq could rebound and dunk, but was really slow and couldn't shoot Free throws.
___

Not saying Ant is guaranteed be a hall of fame player, but Simons is still a young player, with room to expand his basketball talent to levels we haven't seen.

Who was the last player to blow up in year 4 or 5 after getting as much playing time as Ant the prior years?

That's a really bad example, as Reggie was neither undersized nor bad at defense.

In reality, there are very few undersized score-first guards who are bad at defense in the hall, and I think there's a reason for that. Those that are were generally transcendent offensive talents, like Iverson or Archibald. It's generally not a desirable profile...except maybe off the bench.

Reggie was 6'7......

Shaq wasn't slow at all.... I mean, yeah maybe when he was older.... but not when he was younger. Not at all.

Bunch of weird Karen’s in here lol

Nate and Sharpeshooter are doing that all now with each other

Its called trying to have respect for the fellow fan regardless of differing opinions.

But you want to call us Karens…lol.
just calling it like i see it. You can call names all you want.

Go Blazers!

I think guys are being way to hard on Simons.

this talk that he is what he is and won’t improve is silly to me.

he is still young. He add muscle in the off-season. His defense can improve, especially as he gets stronger. Defense is more effort that anything. This is only his second season as a full time starter.

When people say he is offense first, etc, on this team, he definitely will be, he is the best scorer we have currently.

it’s too early to pull the plug on him as a finished product imo

Agreed....when is 6'7" as a shooting guard undersized? That is Drexler height although Clyde probably had 25+ pounds on Reggie.
