Simons to have surgery on thumb, out 4-6 weeks

I'm not against keeping him either. Just looking at the positives in general with Simons out. Brogdon could be like Mo Williams and Earl Watson was to Dame to start his career.

Brogdon could still stay with us the whole year and get traded in the offseason while upping his value with the extra run, and giving knowledge to Scoot for one season.
That plan would make a lot more sense to me.

Exactly. We do not need more draft capital. We need to develop what we have.
We def need more talent, so that could be via more draft capital in the upcoming years. This team isnt going anywhere soon and Brodgon's value will be a lot lower by time Scoot/Sharpe start to really break out imo.

Outside of Scoot, Sharpe, Simons, Ayton, who else really do we need to develop? I would say Sharpe or Simons goes at some point in a couple years, leaving just Ayton and Scoot outside of that.

Look at OKC, they just have a team full of youngsters and guys that are starting to break out and they have tons more picks to add more talent or use as a trade chip. They are most likely a playoff team this year.

Shai Alexander, Giddy, Chet, Dort, Isaiah Joe, Jalen Williams, and more. They have more talent in general and a super young team as well. We need to get more talent and picks to add to this young timeline is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Well, I hope Simons makes a full recovery. I swear to god if Billups starts Brogdon and Thybulle, or Thybulle and Camara over Sharpe I am going to lose my mind.

We have GOT to start Sharpe and I would say move Thybulle to the 3, or better yet start Camara.

PG:Scoot
SG:Sharpe
SF: Camara
PF: Grant (ugh please let us trade him)
C: Ayton

That should be the starting lineup, although I will accept Thybulle instead of Camara.

If he does ill meet you in the meltdown thread for the long haul. Ill go bonkers.

I kept thinking he was out for a large portion of the game and was not on the bench for a while.

For fucks sake.

I mean Brogdon is still gonna play like 30 minutes so I don't know what the problem is.

I'm actually intrigued to see how we'll play without Simons. We already know what he can do, but I want to see how this team does run by more traditional PGs in Brogdon and Scoot.

He plays both sides and acts like he knows shit, while he's scouring social media like everyone else. It's super annoying.
I still don't understand how he has a job. He spouted his opinion in LA and so that made him relevant? WTF? Half the board is more informed than this guy, and the other half is WAY more informed than this guy.

LMFAO! What a fucking moron Marang is. I already knew that but DEAR GOD!!!!
I actually don't disagree with him; start Brogdon but only play him until the first timeout before bringing in Sharpe, then treat Sharpe as if he were the starter until the end of the game.

Throw in the towel..

Let the record show the tank began before Ayton even got his 5th field goal attempt...

what a time to be alive

nah but seriously... Brogdon needs to step up for the squad here.. and really it'll help twofold..

Cuz now Brogdon can juice his stats for the potential trademarket he;s got much more of a showcase with no Simons...

Blazers shot better then the Timberwolves did in their opening game. Minnesota couldn't hit the side of a barn. Portland shouldn't have an issue getting fans free chicken nuggets if you buy something else that's gross from McDonald's.

That ain't free no more anyway lol.

I'd probably take the under on most of the lines for the game though

I miss listening to Dusty Harrah. Until Marang goes off and be irrelevant somewhere else I won't listen.

That is quite alot already but would add Murray, Camara, Walker, and Rupert. Draft capital is nice, but we would rather develop those four plus the four you stated.

Also, Thybulle and Grant need to show they are worth what they got this past offseason in free agency. Surrounding them with inexperience does not help them IMO.

I'm starting Brogdan and Sharpe and bringing Scoot off the bench and staggering him with the other two guys but let Brogdan get us into an offense if there is one.

Sucks for Ant but this is good for the team. Scoot and Sharpe need to start and play major minutes. I don’t think that makes us worse either. If this works, trade Ant when he comes back. I wonder if Miami would be interested lol.

The big question here is how many games will he miss. 18 and he can’t get postseason awards.

I have to agree with Marang at least in the short term like a handful of games just to let Scoot get his feet under him cause the last thing you want is to destroy the young rooks confidence only a couple games into his rookie year. Now I agree Marang is usually wrong similar to Nate but every once in a blue moon he is correct and on this I can see his point.
