Why would we? We just sent Skal off for tax savings; what would be the point of undoing that move?
Maybe we can buy Skal Labissiere.

What the fuck is that move about. Couldn't we trade Swanigan instead and cut even more money ? Skal with a shot knee can probably play better anyways. And even if we needed a second to offload biggie instead, Skal is still more valuable than a 2nd.
Piss off Neil. Piss off Jody
You just answered your own question. Nobody wants Swanigan.

We did.How can we trade Skal and not get even a fucking 2nd rounder for it ffs
We did.
We did.
I like how 1080 the fan said we traded swanigan for Skal, then acquired Swanigan, then traded Skal for nothing.
So we effectively traded swanigan for swanigan.
Orlando never got a 2nd rounder for Harkless or Napier, even though one was in the trade. Top-55 protections will do that
So not even a 2nd rounder, great
He's injured & there's a possibility that he is out for the season. How can we trade Skal and not get even a fucking 2nd rounder for it ffs

I wouldn't trade Hood, Ariza won't last much longer.I tend to think this means we not doing a Whiteside trade... just one more small move or trade Hood if he agrees to get out of tax completley
You saw something that I didn't see.Skal was a good backup with upside. Given away for nothing because of Neil's other stupid moves.
I don't know what the protection is...just guessing
I wonder if Hoard factored in the decision at all. I’ve noticed he’s been playing power forward lately in the g league. All his points basically come at the rim. I don't believe he got a two year deal on his two way, so he’ll need to be converted at some point. He would also be a cheaper end of the bench guy than Skal.
To me, he's more in competition with Gabriel ... their games have more overlap than either does with Skal.
That 2nd round pick that conveyed last year wasn't protected only the one that we owe this year. Your point that it would've conveyed anyway still stands though.Well, top 55 protected picks CAN convey. The Blazers just conveyed one this past year for the one they gave in the Layman trade. So here’s to hoping Atlanta takes off!
Hoard hasn’t shown an ability to space the floor, which limits where he can play. Gabriel meanwhile has been an efficient three point shooter in the g league, on high volume.
Yeah, okay...
Their GM has wanted to acquire him for awhile now but we had to pay them to take him?
He was in a better negotiating position. They didn't have to do anything... Neil needed to reduce the tax hit. Atlanta used that to their advantage.Yeah, okay...

Yeah, they were so desperate to save $2 million that they had to pay him Atlanta to take him. Just like we had to pay Chicago to take Vonleh. Oh and we gave Minnesota Layman for free this summer. He was in a better negotiating position. They didn't have to do anything... Neil needed to reduce the tax hit. Bad asset management.
Bad cap management.
Bad negotiator.
