Sly...first of all, I hope you recover well!
Got me to thinking, I don't drink NEAR enough water! I down about 4 cups of coffee in the AM (I rarely drink coffee in the afternoon or evening), but maybe about a glass of water, juice, etc. on any given day. I need to seriously re-think this! I think I just got a wake-up call!
I do get in nearly 10,000 steps (about 5 miles) of walking 3-5 days a week, so I think I'm OK there.
I don't smoke. Check.
I drink 1 to 2 beers a day, so I could probably taper that some. BUT I DON'T WANT TO!
I'm 5'10, and weigh around 185. Doc says I'm slightly overweight. 175 is the target. Probably the beers. Go figure.
I don't work out with weights......at all. I'd like to, but as Frank Layden once quipped, "Sometimes I get the urge to workout, but then I lay down until the feeling passes." What an excellent mantra! j/k
Back to the walking thing....my doctor said that walking is the best overall exercise one can do.....and you can do it anywhere....and can also enjoy beautiful scenery if you'd like!, etc. A survey was once taken of 100-year+ folks, and the one thing they all had in common was walking. Even if only up and down their stairs on a daily basis.
Anyway, here's to your improved health, my man. Cheers!
Errrr.......wait.
