I went to Guam once on a trip paid for by the U.S. government. It was a refueling stop on route home from a vacation in 1968 Vietnam. It was a pretty sight. Of course the prettiest sight was the coastline of Vietnam as we were leaving the country. There was this strange feeling of tremendous relief the farther away I got.
I did have a brother-in-law who was stationed in Fiji while in the Peace Corps in the late 60s. I've heard all about it until I've heard all the many stories at least 12 times each. I always look forward to another one of our visits where my wife goes off to visit with her sister leaving me to enjoy yet another telling of one of my brother-in-law's wonderful stories about how important he was over there and the hardships he had to endure.

I dated a woman that was once in the Peace Corps and she too would never shut up about it. I mean, it's a great organization and all but for christ's sake, I don't need to hear the same stories over and over.

Aha, you too know real suffering.

The media was reporting over and over that no one was wearing masks in Sturgis during the bike rally. Once again, fake news

260 infected, 1 death reported.
why u always got to be the bummer man?
edit/aside;for an event that they said had nearly a quarter of a million participants, those numbers seems like a really low infection rate

Looks like he's in the dog house. (har har har har har, oh come on, that was funny)

A fews years back my son and I were on a tandem jet ski in Haleiwa Bay and saw a tiger shark about 20 feet from us come to the surface we turn and jetted back towards the marina.
tigers. they are responsible for the vast majority of shark bites/attacks here. the kamaaiana know that when the water is murky in the fall and winter, no swim is worth the risk, no lobster sweet enough and no sense tempting fate around sun down and through the night.. i had a 200# marlin on my swimstep after entering the harbor, before i got to the ramp a 13'+ tiger came out of the water to take it and did.
