I live in Lebanon, just down the road. Sweet Home is great, but be aware there are some pretty serious meth and heroin issues in certain parts of town.

Specifically, at 1641 Long Street.

So, now that you're an Oregonian, just know that there's no more caucusing. Vote by mail and drive Trump mad...der.

James Gang in Lebanon has far and away the best pizza on this side of the valley.
My aunt said T&M was the best in Sweet Home but apparently they closed a few years ago.

Never tried James Gang, what is there style?

I've heard about that, thanks though. The park I'm living at isn't the highest-end place, so I'm definitely on the look-out. First thing I'm doing is getting my concealed weapons permit and learning the area so that I know where to avoid and at what times.

Well I already voted for him back in......January, I wanna say? Washington has early voting. Now I guess I can vote for him again in another state! :bgrin:

Not a fan of this whole "vote by mail" thing. There's no drop-off boxes anywhere? That's how I've always done it. Am I registered when I get my driver's license? And what is the Oregon DMV like?

There are still drop off boxes.

Sweet Home is a cute little town and you have the resevoir nearby for water activities. If you ever decide to move on and Idaho is an option I would suggest northern Idaho in the Pan Handle area. Beautiful country and beautiful lake Lake Pend Oreille, Priest Lake and Cour D' Alene along with many other smaller bodies of water.

When I was camping down there with a buddy once we went to the reservoir for a bit. He locked his keys in the car and had to call AAA. We had to wait most of the rest of the day for them to get there and get his car open.

There are drop boxes at election offices and most city halls. You’ll get used to popping it in the mail though. Like most places, DMV sucks...slow, crowded and inefficient. Don’t know what they’re doing during COVID. Better check their website. Oregon is dead last in complying with TSA requirements for new drivers’ licenses. They were scheduled to have to issue complying licenses by October. They got a one year extension because of the pandemic. It’s going to be a total fustercluck when everyone has to go through the offices to get new licenses. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get one of the new ones before DMV armageddon.

Say what? The other side of the valley is nothing but woods.
Oh yeah, I'm a smart ass.

I heard about that from the AAA guys. They were taking a much needed nap right over the hill from you. Too much drinking the night before.

I can't get new plates for my new car nor the title because of delays due to Covid-19.
