In light of his argument with Coach Spoelstra, would you gamble on Jimmy Butler for a decent price?

We are talking about Jimmy Butler.......so this was pretty much inevitable.
The question is what would we give up for essentially 2 years of good Jimmy and two years of bad Jimmy while he makes 50 mil per year in his mid-30s.

During the time out:
Jimmy: I need Rachel Nichols back to ESPN
SPO: Who?
Jimmy: Rachel Nichols
SPO: Get your mind back in the game, we are not in the Bubble.

No. They will keep him. They can handle some chaos; most other teams can't so he he has more value to them than he would to trade partners.

BTW, i would like to get the Houston game threads back to the front page but they were set up to not accept replies, so it's difficult.......

My favorite part is Udonis Haslem getting restrained as he’s telling Butler he’s going to beat his ass. Old vet has coaches back

Why trade for him? Do you think his work ethic is going to suddenly change?

When did Butler's work ethic become an issue? He's obviously had attitude problems, but his thing was always his teammates being unwilling to work as hard as him.

Probably an ego thing. My guess is he was not playing as hard as Spoelstra wanted him to in that game, and he felt that he was above being called out.

Could be. The video looks like a "war of words" situation, but that could have resulted from him mailing it in that game or something.

I agree Butler has issues but I would still take him. At this point assembling a contending roster is long shot. A really long long shot, so personalities may have to take a back seat.

Yeah, if this team had an opportunity to acquire Butler to couple with Dame they'd be remise not too, do so. He would be fine with Dame & Hart, also tough as nails hard worker.
