So It Begins (Covid)

Masks stop covid like swimsuits stop piss in a pool.

Ironically, that's actually a good analogy. I'd rather have someone piss near me in a pool (wearing a mask) than pissing near me outside of a pool (no mask).

Rates have been skyrocketing, deaths and hospitalizations have flatlined. Vast majority of severe cases cam be avoided witj early out patient treatmemt.
Vast majority of cases can be avoided altogether by masking and vaccination.

This has to be Meyers finally chance at getting a call from an NBA team, right?

I think it is wise for the NBA to be so strict. But at the same time, if we are following the science, no one who is vaccinated is getting very sick from Omicron.
I get that it is early still, and yes there will be exceptions, and I may regret saying this, but we need to learn to live with this shit and not shut things down every time a new variant pops up.......unless the science proves otherwise. And so far it is saying the symptoms are mild....for those vaccinated. Sorry for those who can't get vaccinated.

I went to Christmas eve dinner in Malibu at a large restaurant, the place was packed, and only the servers were wearing masks. It was more crowded than it was supposed to be because the rain forced them to close down the tent area. But no one seemed very worried. I probably should have walked out but I was looking forward to it all month. It was a 90-minute dinner inside so yes I was/am a little worried, but we can't stop living, we just need to adapt. It is not going away anytime soon.

This is not very surprising given how few people were masked in New Orleans

I wonder if there is a team that calls up Tyreke Evans or Jimmer Fredette for one last chance?

This variant being so contagious, with symptoms that mirror, at worse, a cold in people smart enough to get vaxed, also not quite as severe as the other strains, makes this pretty predictable.

We had a guy test positive after his kid got sick. He was completely asymptomatic. He tested and came back positive, but 3 days later came back negative. Which means he had it for a week or so at work.

NOBODY in Texas wears a mask

Seems like wake and bake Michael Beasley and yes I'm a tweener Manimal will be next up

Seems like he was canceled/black balled out for the huge mistake he made, even after a sincere apology.
He would be better of playing in Europe or China if he wants to play?

Every epidemiologist disagrees with you. If you wear an n95 and are boosted you are far less likely to catch (and, by extention, spread) covid-19.
I mean... If people just wanna refute facts because they done understsnd the concept of probability not much you can do. It's part of that mentality that is propagating this pandemic

'Propagating the Pandemic'....sounds like a heavy metal song for the ignorant...calling Ted Nugent!

Daughter in law is coming to pickup the wife today to spend the week in town at their house so she won't have to commute to care for our grandson....looks like river bachelor time around here! Going to be able to crank the guitar amps all week now.

Just stick a fork in this winter for sports and travel.....it's pretty obvious this is going to happen with more infections if we continue to pretend we're safe in publicly crowded environments
