I completely appreciate KingSpeeds passionate fandom and hope he can appreciate if others are a bit more reality based....which doesn't mean they love their team any less. Portland just lost twice in a row to a team that got blown out by 20 at home by Dallas which promptly got blown out by 20 by the Clippers. They are very young, not confident on offense, still very much in the learning stage on defense, and are having to rely on a chucker backcourt for now that is not shooting a very high percentage.
They will grow and get better but will not have to tank to accumulate a number of losses this season. Get court time, see what you have from your top 10/11, hopefully get a little lucky and add an impact player in the Draft and then see what this team looks like in a year or two as they grow together. Right now, they are just not very good, quite easy to defend, will not be shooting a high percentage from the foul line anytime soon but have a lot of length, hustle and potential.
As fans we just have to look at this season a little differently than we would like but in the long run, it is probably necessary.
