Re: So, the Blazers Won Tonight, Right?
In your opinion....
I was making arguments as to why the Blazers are 9 and 4 with a big win differential in spite of their poor play
and you start to attack
While I think that the 9-4 Blazers could easily be at 12-1, deep down I'm also thinking that we are lucky we are not 6-7.
We are not playing good, solid, basketball for 4 quarters! And we are currently decimated with injuries!
Quite frankly, I'm worried that by Christmas night, following a loss to Denver, our record could be sub-500.
One injury to another starter could do serious damage! Miller rolled his ankle tonight...and who knows what we'll be reading in the papers about his availability for Friday's game and beyond?
I'm feeling uncomfortable about our depth (with the injuries) and most worried about the team offensive sets. The only games I enjoyed were those first two games after installing the 3-guard offense - we were truly pushing the ball up the court relentlessly. But I'm not seeing the big push anymore?
Defensively, we are solid. However, the 3-guard line-up is killing Roy's game! He's not playing great D, and maybe it is simply because the guy is guarding players taller and more physical than when he plays the 2. I tell ya, Roy is going to wear out by the end of March.
I ran home tonight, signed on to NBA League Pass on my computer - just in time to watch the last 7:42 left in the game. I sware, we didn't score a field goal for like a half hour - I nearly turned off the computer thinking I jinxed the poor guys!
We gotta put away teams. We cannot allow Detroit to make a come-back like tonight. The "come-back" was not even all about Detroit getting hot..as it was mostly about the Blazers nearly choking?
Where is Roy's "game face" of late? No scowl. No intensity. All is not rosey in the City of Roses guys!
This all could blow up.
[and NO!!!! I am not "Mix" - LOL] Ignore the Troll !
