Police are still investigating, but it is pretty obvious that either his mother or his mothers boyfriend beat him up pretty good. He has a fracture on his skull, over 15 bruises all over his body and human bite marks on his right leg.

He is home with me now, but he is really shook up.

Wow. Words can't explain either my disgust or my anger. How are you not in jail on a murder rap? That's where I'd be. I admire your restraint and hope you never let those animals near your child again.

I'll say a prayer tonight for him to make a full recovery.

Not so hard at all.

What's his name, rank, and station?

His name is *deleted* and he works at the Woodburn Police department. At least that is what my sons mother says. I don't even think the guy is working. I have no idea his rank or anything. He is probably 25 ish. Not sure. He is a former marine too who was injured in combat in Iraq.

Wow, Dante. I've got a 22 month old. I'd.....man, I guess I'd do what you are doing. Or I like to think I would. It's the only smart, responsible thing to do.

But my first instinct would be to take my shotgun to his house and blow his brains out.

Yeah man, I really wanted to go and shoot the guy in the face. But he will be screwed for the rest of his life if he gets convicted of beating a child. I gotta keep my cool.

Thank you for your prayer.

I'm kind of with Maxie on this one, though I hope I'd be smart enough to not get caught. :dunno:

Anyway, I'm also praying for your boy to get better, and for you to stay smart and patient.

Dante, I know it sounds crazy, but your son being bitten might be the very best thing in getting some justice. A bite mark may as well be a signature on a guilty plea. Matching bite mark patterns couldn't be easier.

You both are in my thoughts.

If something happened to that dirtbag, the father of the child is the first person they would investigate.

yeah the bite mark was the most disturbing to me. That, I don't understand. I took pictures when I saw it though and sent it to my ex wifes probation officer. Yeah, she is on probation because she left my son in her car for 15 minutes while she went shopping.

Jesus. She just left a kid under the age of two in a car alone in a shopping center? Jesus.

I would think that it probably isn't the wisest thing to plaster the guys name on an internet message board, even if he ends up being guilty of this.

Why not? Just curious. Could it hurt my case?

Yeah, her and her boyfriend each have 2 kids. They were all with her. She took the other 3 and left my son in the car. I guess she just didn't want to shop with 4 kids? I am not sure.

As a father of two, I feel horrible for your son, but this isn't the place to plead your case. Let the law figure it out, and remember that your boy clearly needs you at this point (not that he wouldn't need you anyhow).

And I just want to say. I may be an asshole on the forum sometimes. I may say some crazy effed up stuff sometimes. I may pick fights with some of ya'll sometimes. But I promise to anyone reading this, I try as hard as I can to be a good father to my son. My life goal is to stay working and to be a good father to my son. I don't party, I don't go out, I don't do anything that could get me in trouble. I just love my son and I try my best to take care of him as best I can.

I have 100% custody and parenting time with him. I have never been in trouble with the law since after he was born. I am a good father and I try really hard. I don't date so he doesn't have to see women in and out of his life. I am staying single so he does not get confused. I feed him good. No sugars or junk foods. I teach him stuff. www.yourchildcanread.com is what we are doing now. Awesome program by the way for anyone with young kids.

I don't know why I felt I needed to post that... maybe because I assume that a lot of you think I am a prick (and I deserve it because I have been in the past) but I don't want any of you to think that my little man is unsafe with me. I promise, he is safe here with me.

You do sound like a good father. It must be difficult not to take things into your own hands, and I feel for you. Take care of your boy, first and foremost. It doesn't stop when his wounds heal.
