So what "VET PG" do we go after?

Hawks are about to waive Joran Farmar. He wouldn't be a bad backup for Lilly.

Earl Watson has to be out there

He kind of mentored Westbrook

I say fuck it. Play lillard 48 minutes and live with the consequences.

Not really, but I don't see any real good options. I think no matter who it is lillard is going to get most of the minutes. Point guard by committee, play Leonard there.

I'd be OK with that. He's not horrible (or at least he's been less horrible since he got out of LA) and at this point in his career I'm guessing he's probably accepted the journeyman/backup label.

Farmar got a big deal to go to Europe.

Isn't Watson coming off injury?

I'd really like to get Mike Bibby to mentor Lillard.

If he isn't available, isn't Keyon Dooling still a free agent? He has been somewhat underrated throughout his career.

To say that he has declined is putting it nicely. I still say that if we go this rout we should look at Fisher.

While we are digging into the Ghosts of Blazers past

Alvin Williams

And Sasha Djeorgevic
(add to the Greeks to give Rice fits!)

Thinking outside the box:

With Mayo and Collison on board, I think Roddy Buckets would be a solid target. Has the length to guard most SG's and it would appease Batum, the second highest paid Blazer.

I think mentoring Lillard is much less important than getting someone who can actually play. If Lillard has to earn his minutes (rather than being force-fed them, whether he's ready or not) I think that he'll be better off in the long run... and the team will be better in the short run.

Now... who that PG is, I don't know.

Ed O.

I disagree, personally. Force feed him the minutes.
