I only know of one, with no clue on the other 3 Pitchers.

The only one I can recollect was Bullet Bob Feller. If I'm not mistaken Joe owned Feller, and Joe hit more HR's, RBI's, Doubles and I believe had the highest B'avg vs Feller.

At a sports memorabilia convention in the mid-80s, which had both DiMaggio and Feller in attendance, saw Feller being razzed by Joe's posse, all in good fun. I was hearing, "if you had to face Joe every game, then you'd not be in the HOF, or- if you had to face Joe more often, Joe might have hit .400 too.... etc etc...

Off the top of my head... What is the maturing, or coming of age: aka Mike Trout steals Miggy Cabrera's Thunder or-Dethroning of 2014-. Trout AL MVP / AS- MVP.
(After coming in 2nd behind Cabrera the 2 prior 2yrs).

Trout was the MVP in Jeter's last A.S. Game.

Only other one I can think of- Griffey Jr when he hit a HR off of Maddox 1992, then some
Jr had several hits, 2 or 3for XBH

Not sure on their ages? @ 22?

It's got to be Ted Williams or Joe DiMaggio. I'm going with Ted Williams.

The correct answer; Frank Thomas.

Next question; Without Googling, name the Hall of Famer who played most of his games as DH ?

Harold Baines?

Gotta be either Baines, fkngOrtiz, Thomas or Martinez...

Although the fatfk who played for Boston, would like everyone to believe he had the most everything as a DH, I don't believe it's this turd... If I were a MLB skipper and had a choice of any Designated Hitter on my Team, then it would have been Edgar Martinez, maybe Frank Thomas, (after seeing his accomplishments in post #77)... never Ortiz!

I have no clue at all.

The only person similar, I believe, was Mantle versus the Pirates of 1960. But that was a 7 game series. Mantle had double-digit RBIs and so did Bobby Richardson. I don't remember Mick's slugging % but we all know he's slugged at a high percentage in world series play.

I give I have no clue. Good question.

The correct answer is; Ted Kluszewski, 1959 Chicago White Sox.

Next question; Without Googling, name the player who had the most consecutive World Series hits (7).
