Ugh. One of the coolest things about Blazer games is that people have so many differing types of Blazer gear. Blazer fans don't need to all dress alike to be a big advantage at home.

Let's leave the T-shirt gimmick to OKC, Golden State, Indiana, and other bandwagon fanbases.

The Portland Trail Blazers are switching things up a bit when it comes to giveaways for second round play.

According to a trusted team source, each fan in attendance at the boisterous Moda Center will be issued a red “Rip City” t-shirt once they take their seat. Fans are urged to get their tickets while they're still available.

The Trail Blazers distributed red glow sticks in Games 3, 4 and included “Rip City” towels with the sticks in Game 6 during their first-round series defeat of the Houston Rockets.

Portland will play the winner of the Dallas Mavericks-San Antonio Spurs series that has gone to Game 7, scheduled to play on Sunday. If San Antonio wins, Portland will start the semifinal round in Texas. If Dallas wins, Portland gets to host the first two games of the series.

It is highly likely that the second round will begin on Tuesday. Thanks to Damian Lillard and his game-winning three last night, Blazer fans, you’re getting clothed.

ugh. Don't need this. Free shirts are cool and all but I hope people don't rock them and just rock their 90s Western Conference Finals shirts, their Brian Grant throwbacks and everything that's awesome about being a fan with a history of following the team.

They gave out t-shirts back in 09 I think. I still have a Rip City Uprise shirt somewhere.

I suppose that getting a shirt doesn't necessarily mean you need to wear the shirt.

I agree with the above. I'd love to have the shirt. I'd hate for every one of our fans in the arena to be decked out in them all at the same time. Yuck.

Now I won't be able to make fun of the other fan bases who do that. It sucks.

OTOH: If they were plaid shirts in honor of DR. Jack, that would be cool.

Plus, having all the same shirts just makes opposing jerseys in the stands stand out more. Could you imagine in OKC if there were a few Sonics jerseys during those games where they wear the same shit? It'd be totally obvious.

That's what I was hoping. For Jack!

It would be logistically impossible to source those at the last minute, but I would approve. That would be fucking legendary.

Yeah, can you imagine trying to get 20k plaid t-shirts with a Blazer logo, at the very least, even in 2 weeks, let alone 2 days. It would be the topper of all T-shirt handouts, though.

Not sure how I feel about this. I like the free t shirt, don't like not having my robinson jersey showing. If everyone is wearing them I will too, otherwise I'll probably put it under my seat and keep it as a souvenir, but let my Trob jersey shine bright.

Yeah, I like this idea along with free hats. That would be pretty cool.

These were my 2 favorite Blazer shirts I owned, both my senior year of HS!

They'd cost the Blazers like $20 each. lol.

I want to see someone rocking a Greg Anthony jersey.

Would be rare for sure. Tbh as far as ppl who wear throwbacks goes, you don't see enough sabo jerseys.

I just acquired the 2nd one a few months ago from ebay. also the "1990 Playoffs" one.

remember the "PORTLAND CAN'T PLAY BALL" with the "NOT!" on the back. hah. I loved the bootlegs too.

The League Office is pressuring all playoff teams to pressure all fans to wear the stupid t-shirts. They want everyone to look alike, in uniforms.

Similarly, notice that in the last couple of seasons, all teams have replaced interesting player sweaters, t-shirts, and warmups with dull gray ones? The League Office wants it.

After the Blazers win their next one (hopefully we get there!), there are 11 games to the 'ship.....doing a Jersey countdown on Instagram.
