No one has seen this? Or do you just not like it?

Seriously, check out the first episode. It's really different.

Is this, like, the cable version of Caligula?

LOL! No, not that sexually graphic. There are some amazingly beautiful women on there who leave nothing for the imagination.

I did just find a website that has all of the episodes online to watch for free for anyone who doesn't have Starz.

yup, its filmed where i live. pretty cool imo - ladies get $750nzd to show the tittays :)

lots of kiwi actors in the show, good times.

I've been watching it since the beginning. Very good show. Naked hotties and lots of gore. What else do you want?

I've been watching it since the beginning, too. Watching the most recent two episodes right now, in fact.

It is what TV shows should be like.

Wow, the actor who plays Spartacus has cancer and the filming of season 2 has been suspended.

Bummer.

Tattle: 'Spartacus' series on hold; star is ailing

THE POPULAR STARZ series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," which is sort of like "Gladiator" with a naked "Zena, Warrior Princess," has halted production because star Andy Whitfield has been diagnosed with cancer.

Whitfield plays the title role in the show. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and will begin treatment immediately, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"I'm receiving excellent care, and am feeling strong, positive and determined with an army of support behind me," Whitfield said.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy," said Chris Albrecht, president and chief executive of Starz. "His health, of course, is our primary concern. He has our complete support during this difficult time."

Whitfield's cancer is described as "very treatable" and was detected in its early stages. The second season of "Spartacus" was scheduled to begin shooting in New Zealand.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

Last weeks episode was so f'ing good!

Can't wait to see what is going to happen tonight.

Great show, you can get caught up on Netflix streaming since they are all available on there now. Lucy Lawless is pretty hot in the show as well.

Wow last night's episode was really good. I did not see that coming at all. That blond biatch is such the trouble maker. I knew she was going to do something after last week's mind (and body) f'ck but wow! Fucked up.

I'm still surprised at how hot of a pair of ta-ta's Lucy Lawless has. For her age those are very nice.

OK, who saw the season finale of Spartacus?

Epic!

Pretty much ended as the movie began.

Sucks they won't have a next season.

Not true, the latest is that while they don't know when the filming of season 2 will start because of the actor who plays Spartacus is fighting cancer they have begun work on a pre-quel to the Spartacus story line that would feature a different actor playing a younger Spartacus.

OK, and Star Trek Deep Space Nine was the same show as the original Star Trek?

But DS9 didn't have the same writers, producers and directors as the original ST.

If the same people who brought us Spartacus B&S want to do a prequel instead of just shutting everything I think that's a good thing.

BTW have you seen the LAME Spartacus Blood and Sand cartoon Starz is doing? I found it on Hulu. Now that fits your DS9 analogy.

I'm probably the only guy here old enough to see the original Spartacus in the theater. It is a great movie and Kubrick's second best movie after A Clockwork Orange IMO.

I saw it in the theater.

2001 a space oddyssy

Yeah, 2001 is pretty good but I was never was a huge fan like most people. I know many people didn't like A Clockwork Orange but it is one of my all time favorite movies.

I saw the first episode on a channel which was running a stars promotion, this show fucking rocks, and the titties/chicks/gore just kick so much ass I wanted to buy Starz right then, but forgot.

Now, I am downloading the 10 episodes! Thanks for the reminder!!

There are 13 Episodes.

I saw a clip from that show that was very very nice! Lucy Lawless was naked and being bathed by some other naked hotties and then some guy joined the party.

There are 13 Episodes.

I will have to scour more newsgroups then :o) as I only see 10 posted so far, but again, thanks for the heads-up, this series rocks.

Is this the first season??

I am a huge fan of Clockwork Orange, and Kubrick in general. I mean, it is very hard to choose "best film" among the two mentioned and Full Metal Jacket and the Shining and Dr. Strangelove.

Aside from being a sci fan, the appeal of 2001 is the writer (Arthur C. Clark), the realism (Clark's writing makes you feel like you're there, the film captured that extremely well), the plot (if you get it, if not read the book!), and how it plays well 50 years later because the (classical) music doesn't date it. All these things are genius, IMO.

Got the 11,12,13 episode ;)

Enjoy!

The first 2 episodes establish the stylization of the series, the rest of the episodes develop some really interesting plot lines. My gf hated the first 2 episodes but then got into the rest of the series and is now a big fan.
