Also...I'm tired of the words sport, sports, two, basketball, football, soccer, athlete, Lebron James, and Kobe Bryant.

I demand we start censoring all these words.

yes. you should start using the word football like all the normal people already do.

But the name 'football' doesn't even make sense for soccer! Goalies pick up the ball with their hands. Some football. Better to leave the name 'football' for a sport that has an actual position called 'kicker.'

I acutally do call soccer football and american football american football.

lol, in real Football the foot is used 98% of the time, and the goalie uses hands only when defending. In American Football the foot is used 2% and the hand is used time after time to throw it or keep it in the hand(s) to run with it.

yes. and former US national team soccer goalie tony meola had to switch to football so he could finally kick the ball. needless to say, he wasn't good enough at that.

I lose.

*sigh* Man, how long is it going to take them to figure out that you just can't censor your way out of an internet death spiral.

A more formal announcement is coming.

When I first read it, I figured they were being hacked and it was a technical issue. But from what I'm reading on this board, is it really their opinion that they are "under attack" by another board? Man, it's like something out of Animal Farm.

I never understood the inter-board animosity. There was quite a bit of dislike for RealGM at one time as well. Sad to see that people get so irrational over online posts.

Good analogy.

A quick question. How many people in here read more than one forum? I know I do. Why would anyone want to censor another board? I remember when Knight Ridder (OregonLive.com, Mlive.com, Cleveland.com, nola.com, etc.) banned "RealGM". Finally, someone realized how stupid it was and unlocked it. As a result--at least on O-Live--traffic increased because there were more links from people from O-Live going over to RealGM and vice versa.

I'm a fan of free markets. Protectionism results in higher prices, less consumption and ultimately a poorer product. It doesn't matter if it's the steel industry or an internet sports board.

So if you have a poorer product with higher prices . . . wouldn't you push for protectionism. Maybe what BBF is trying to do has some logic to it.

I think they push posters away by their actions . . . but maybe they think protectionism is their only shot of keeping posters.

Thursday night I was over there making fun of their censorship stuff, and after about 10 posts of that and responding to timmeh saying I have no life, Krstic All Star bans me (while people who did the exact same or worse on there that night still remain), and then the fucktard accuses me of advertising sportstwo, which I didn't. I didn't even reference this forum. I acknowledged the existence of another forum, but didn't advertise or reveal it in any way. KAS banned me out of spite then lied about it to the whole site. Fuck him, he's a slimy douchebag; its obvious he wasn't lying about that law degree thing, you know what they say about lawyers and bullshit.

I can't wait till those retarded moderators drive all their spoiled members away, and then they're left standing there picking their asses, wondering why anyone would leave their wonderful site.

The forum itself is the market. The posts are the product. The difficulty in getting information and getting conversation going (via fewer posts) is the higher price. If you want better product and more of it, free the market.

I post on here and RealGM. I also run the #3 Chicago Bulls blog on the internet (behind Blog a Bull and Sam Smith's blog on Bulls.com). The moderators won't let you post a link to my blog on their site...a freaking blog, not a forum, because it's as they say, "A competitive product".
