Wow. SMH. I understand the sentiment of it being someone Raja knew putting out all of this video footage that would put him away for years and years, so I get that someone did stab him in the back.

That being said, if you filmed that shit and had any sort of conscience you would put it out for the whole world to see, as a public service and just because you want to do the right thing by the dude who, as far as I know, is still in the hospital and almost died.

Now I really think that Rampage must be in contact with Stu, otherwise this video clip would be used in sentencing to show absolutely no remorse.

It was premeditated attempted murder.

There is culpability and liability charges to be had for the promoters.

Dude needs to go to jail for a long time. This was a planned "spot" but that was also a planned beat down. With intent and viciousness, he should be going away for a long time.
I honestly don't know enough to say he shouldn't be charged or how much he should be punished.

But promoters for sure need to be charged.

You think the promoters told him to beat the guy literally to death? WTF??

As an old school fan of MMA, Raja has grown up with a champion father. He is very well trained in the unspoken rule of don't hit a fighter when he is out. Real MMA fighters have mad respect for one another and often show remorse if they caused an injury to the opponent.
WWF or MMA and whether Raja thought it was fake or not, He absolutely knows better than to hit a fighter who is out. Hit anyone.
Im not sure of the laws either, but I think he should get attempted murder charges. I 100% agree with you that the promoter guy who allowed him into the ring should be punished. At minimum banned from the profession. You don't just let a trained fighter in the ring like that who just said “I don't play like that” 8-10 times, without going over the details of what will happen and what can and cant be done.
The promotor is absolutely also at fault.

Raja and his videos though. I mean….That just isn't smart. At all. Why isn't his father telling him to stay off camera until they can formulate a statement?

No need for thier haters to toss them a shovel. They are going full bore with a king sized excavator to dig their hole with!

I'm with you that hitting a person once they're unconscious is fucking terrible.

As far as why Rampage is letting his son post all of this incriminating and inflammatory shit online, it can only be one of two things: Rampage is a fool, which I don't think he is or Rampage already has a settlement deal with Syko Stu.

I know it would be really troubling for Raja to get away with all of this because his daddy is rich but I could see it happening. Those regional pro wrestlers don't make shit and I like Rampage but a lot of people would pay someone off to keep their kid from doing hard time and being a felon for the rest of their life.

I don't think the promoters prevented it. I think they made the situation possible and encouraged the situation.

Its going to be hard to prove the encouragement, because as far as I could see the issue with the can had been settled and squashed.

They still said he'd get to do a run-in and have his spot with the wrestler... but beyond that I think its all on the dude who tried to kill someone.

And they didn't protect the guy who couldn't protect himself after they told the kid to "get receipts", making sure the kid understood what he meant, while amping him up to apparently "act" like he was going to fight?

Sorry. They are responsible as well. I hope the victim sues the shit out of them and I hope he wins.

Sounds like the wrestler that invited him to attend was the guy telling him to get his receipt. Which he says he only said in character. He apparently has been friends with the Jackson family for years and is not the promoter.

Sounds like the other wrestlers don't particularly care for that guy.

Oh I agree they are responsible. To the extent in the eyes of the law, I dont know how far criminally they can go.

Civil wise? They are fucked.

Rampage Jackson's son, Raja, arrested on assault charge

Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, has been arrested on a felony assault charge following a brutal attack of a pro wrestler.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department website, Jackson was arrested and booked on Thursday morning and is currently being held on $50,000 bail. No further details of the pending case have been revealed as of yet.

The arrest came nearly a month after Jackson, 25, was caught on video assaulting pro wrestler Stuart Smith (also known as Syko Stu) at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles. Jackson entered the ring, slammed Smith and punched him until he was unconscious.

Jackson was eventually pulled off Smith by several other wrestlers and fled the academy, which is located in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The incident was livestreamed and widely spread across social media. Smith spent several days in intensive care before being released on August 31. He later detailed the injuries he sustained from the unplanned assault on Facebook, stating that he had a "serious head injury," as well as "trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth."

Jackson's father condemned the attack on social media and suggested that his son be punished for his actions.

"I think he should do a little [jail] time," Jackson said on "The Ariel Helwani Show." "Do a little community service, and go to anger management class, get some therapy."
