January is in full swing and that means college is getting started in 2008 off to a fast start. For many of you like me, this is your first week back at school. Let's see what everyone is taking!

My 5 classes are:

ACCT 230 - Managerial Accounting
MGMT 211 - Legal Environment in Business (Honors)
ECON 203 - Macroeconomics
POLS 207 - State and Local Government
COMM 203 - Public Speaking

What are you taking?

Ancient Philosophy
Politics & Morality (such a misleading class... we're reading Shakespeare)
European Politics
Modern Political Thought
Daoism in Practice

Abnormal Psychology
Theories of Counseling
Practicum

Seeing those Politics classes makes me miss my undergraduate days, until I remember my classmates trying to go further left than the person who spoke before them.

Business Policy
Chemistry for the Consumer
Managing Workplace Diversity
Management Intervention and Consultation

astrobiology
electricity & magnetism
introduction to astrophysics II
complex variables
linear algebra

Chem 2
Chem 2 lab
Statistics Methods

Jazz in America
American Ethnic Relations
and I'm doing research on cognitive memory between visual/haptic systems.

I'm lazy so I'm only taking a couple of classes.

Developmental Psychology
Introduction to Ethics

While I'm only taking a couple classes, it's still plenty since I work at least 22.5 hours every week on 2nd shift (5:30-11:00). Also, I never get to sleep because of these classes and work. Ethics is at 9am on MWF and DP starts at 9 or 10 depending if it's T or Th. Plus I work at 8am on Sundays. My semester = no social life for me outside of weekends.

Bio 188 General Bio Lab

Do you find Managerial Accounting as boring as I do?

Financial Accounting is certainly more difficult but I enjoy it ten times more than I do my managerial accounting class.

BME major. I don't want to be a doctor though.

General Biology 2
Bio 2 Lab
European history
Epistemological Philosophy (Easiest Philosophy course I've been in, I got lucky. Philosophy is normally crazy, I'd rather be in Calculus)
Calculus
Engineering basics

All my classes are 10:00 am or later, thank God.

We used to do block scheduling during finals when I was in high school. For me, we went from eight 45min classes per day to four 1.5hr classes per day, with the classes alternating throughout the week. I didn't mind it, but it wasn't all that great.

See, I actually find philosophy courses to be pretty easy. I took intro last year and I'm in ethics this semester. In intro, I never actually did any of the reading and aced the class. Right now, I have an A- in ethics and I haven't even bought the book.

Well the teachers must teach differently in Florida or something because I would almost commit Ric-Bucher-style-suicide if I had to take another Philosophy course.

I remember my young and intelligent Language Arts Teacher my senior year in High School said Philosophy was the hardest thing she ever did. It sounded very sincere too, since she blurted that out randomly out of nowhere, like it had been on her mind for a while.

High School Philosophy was the only course I couldn't slack off in. Maybe it's taken too seriously around here.

Locke sucks.

I had a terrible professor (his 1st year) for Financial. My Managerial Accounting professor gets through the material without dragging it and he even throws in a few jokes/stories to keep the class going. I think Accounting is a boring subject that needs a lot of coffee to get through.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure you have suggested exercises, do them, they will pay off in Managerial, the exams are 50% applied concepts, and 50% conceptual problems.

Sports Management Major with Minor in Political Science and Business

Intro to American Government
Macro and Micro Economics with lab
Racquetball
Psychology
Modern US History
Intro to Parks Recreation and Tourism (intro in to the college that sports management is in)
