Joel needs to go. I get that the guy is loved, and I love that he is a beast on the floor. But when Chris Johnson is foing more than you.......

I don't think Joel has a lot of value right now.

Maybe to toughen up an eastern conference playoff team to take on the fake toughness of the celtics?

Yeah...by PapaG

No, it's not just PapaG. There are multiple Miller h8trs posting here (unless PapaG is using sock puppets, which he has done in the past). Perhaps you missed this thread:

Bye, bye, Andre Miller

That guy h8ts Miller so much he wants to waive him, continue to pay his salary and get nothing in return. Totally illogical. Even if Miller did suck (he doesn't), he has trade value as an expiring contract (I know, team option - same thing). Waiving him would be just plain stupid, but it's a perfect example of the irrational hatred directed at Andre Miller by multiple posters in this forum.

gutsy win.

monster win.

huge win.

pick any of the above.

he's just so ground bound now. Not entirely surprising given the severity of his injuries and the success rate for guys coming back from that injury (McDyess was never the same either). Hopefully somebody will want the cap relief he represents and hopefully Cho (and Hat-Guy, Kolde, Larry Miller, plus the janitor) can orchestrate something so we don't let an expiring contract evaporate again with nothing in return.

That guy has 315 posts...and constantly makes stupid trade proposals. I don't know about you, but I doubt defending Miller is going to do anything to stop them. There are usually people who appreciate Miller's game too. I just don't see the need to go out of your way to "call out the h8ers".

It means he's never seen LaMonster. His transformation is truly outstanding.

Aamazing as it is, it was bound to happen sooner or later not IF but when. Turns out B-ROY getting broke was a good thing for LMA, La Marcus All Star!

rudy shoots 1-6 again.

i cringe every time hes in the lane

Again, I'm not defending Miller, and I'm not trying to stop anyone from doing anything. I'm just trying to balance out all the negativity unfairly directed at Miller. I'm calling them out because they deserve it. If they are going to bash Miller at every turn, they should also have the balls to show up and give him credit when he deserves it.

But, they don't. So, I do.

Lamarcus was amazing tonight. Miller took both their point guards to school in the post. What I was really surprised about was how long they took to start doubling Aldridge. They didn't start doubling him until Blair picked up his 3rd and Aldridge was well more than halfway towards his point total. The bench fortunately made some plays, and because Aldridge was rested, he was able to log big minutes and carry the scoring load for them. I wish somebody off the bench would start scoring more dependably. Aldridge gets like 2 minutes of rest a game because they can't hold his jock strap for 2 minutes.

One thing I thought was concerning was Joels play. Man he did not look like he deserved to be out on the court tonight. I know he is trying, and Joel has always been a favorite. But tonight he looked like he couldn't even move and the speed of the game, he seemed to be standing in the middle of a swirl never able to quite keep up. He always seemed to be a bit behind the play all night long.

I would have to say so far that despite the Spurs record, they don't really impress me as a team. Boston is a much tougher team IMO. Maybe it is just matchups.

Best team in the NBA had no answer for Aldridge

There was once a time where the little forwards like Blair or Jeff Green could take Aldridge out of his game. Now he just feasts on them. I love it.

What the hell are you talking about? Link?

I figured it out. He's talking about a confusing OT thread called "What's the Internet." I'll respond to him there.

Good point about Aldridge and how many minutes he is logging.

Give LA 4 days to rest and he is ready to bang, dominate and carry the team. I don't know if he can do this night in and night out as a big man. He takes a beating down there.

Joel looks to be playing at about 70% healthwise, and is of course not in playoff shape yet. He appears to still be fighting the mental aspect of subconsciously guarding against injury rather than going all out.

We've seen enough of Joel's drive in the past that I am certain he will again be a beast come playoff time. Considering what little we'd get for him, The Choad would be a fool to trade him.

So this means Mixum won't post for a month, right? The Blazers won't be at .500 by Friday night...

Batum and Joel were dreadful.

Rudy was very good on everything but scoring. Played a good defensive game.

nope... bet was NEVER official. I said a week and you said a month. We never agreed. Should have taken the week. You pushed for more and now you lose.

The Spurs switched every pick on Aldridge. Hill was guarding Aldridge for a lot of the second half. Yes, George Hill, 6'3 PG.

The Spurs played ridiculously stupid defense on LMA.

Roy out, Camby out, Batum dreadful . . . Blazers still beat SA.

Just imagine when we are clicking on all cylinders.

sam smith on blazers vs bulls..... and la to la

Feb. 7, Portland. This has long been one of the Bulls toughest places to play as Rose never has won there and has lost by 42 and 24 the two times he’s played there. Overall, the Bulls have lost nine of their last 11 in the Rose Garden. Hey, it should be his garden. But the Trailblazers have been decimated by injuries with Brandon Roy and Greg Oden likely out all season and Marcus Camby the latest big man hurt. They play hard and compete and are hanging onto eighth in the Western Conference after an impressive win Tuesday over the Spurs at home, where they are 17-7. They run everything through LaMarcus Aldridge now as he’s had an All Star season and, at least to me, is more deserving of an All Star selection than Kevin Love and Zach Randolph. Too bad the votes were in before Aldridge had 40 against the Spurs Tuesday. They don’t have many scoring options with Wesley Matthews perhaps their only other consistent one, but they hit the offensive boards and lead the league in that category.

This is a time the Bulls should have a chance to make up for some past indignities.
