they aren't always notified in advance. there have been multiple rockets games where players were supposed to play and then didn't. i know there was one game where on game day where both artest and tmac were going to play. then artest decided not to. then tmac decided he wasn't going to play either so artest decided he would go ahead and play.In my opinion, it's not, but fans and the league are notified up front in advance that those players will not be playing. San Antonio decided to make a game-time decision to hold out it's three best players and cheat the fans who paid to watch the game. The integrity of the game was compromised.
pretending like there always is advanced notice to the league and fans is dumb. that just isn't reality.
san antonio didn't cheat anything.
