they aren't always notified in advance. there have been multiple rockets games where players were supposed to play and then didn't. i know there was one game where on game day where both artest and tmac were going to play. then artest decided not to. then tmac decided he wasn't going to play either so artest decided he would go ahead and play.

pretending like there always is advanced notice to the league and fans is dumb. that just isn't reality.

san antonio didn't cheat anything.

I don't care what you agree with. It just seems like you are coming on here telling posters how to act. Telling someone to stop crying, telling me to chill.

Personally I would perfer you just say what you got to say without telling me what I should do or how I should feel. . . but whatever.

If the Spurs want to give a game away to the team directly under them so be it. They can do what they want, the integrity wasn't compromised. Gimme a break.

FWIW,

I think the teams owe it to the fans to try to win. And the Spurs may well be looking at playoff matchups and trying to face the most favorable opponent.

It's not like they rested one old guy in a back to back situation.
 
Instead of getting everyone rested at once, they should spread the fatigue around.

It's WAYYYY to early to be sitting guys out for playoff matchups. We still have what 30 games left? Things are far from set in stone

right. they rested two old guys(duncan and finley), one guy with an injury(manu's hip), and one young guy coming off only his 3rd 40 minute game of the season last night with tonight's game being in denver.

nothing wrong here. and how are they trying to determine playoff matchups at this point in the season with something like 35 games to go?

1) Pop is in a gambling ring.

2) Portland suffers the most. Blazers > NBA.

3) Fatigue is a figment of everyone's imagination.

4) It IS Pop's job to give a dead horse's last shit about what the fans pay for when he has a professional sports team to run.

I was pissed the spurs took a night off and was a bit irrate. But I went and self-medicated ( :D ) and it all good.

I'm glad you recognized I was sticking up for a Blazer poster. But hope mods keep posting here . . . the more perspectives the better.

A single victory may be the difference between 8th seed and lottery, or 1st place in the division and 2nd.

POP IS A BASKETBALL MIND. HE IS PAID TO RUN A BASKETBALL TEAM. HE IS NOT A TICKET SALESMAN, HE IS NOT A PR GUY, HE IS NOT A FACILITY MANAGER. HIS FUCKING JOB IS TO COACH THE BASKETBALL TEAM AND MAKE DECISIONS AS HE SEES FIT. HE'S PROVEN TO BE A DAMN GOOD AT THAT OVER HIS CAREER.



Oh, and I doubt that Pop's hideous crime towards Portland (resting his players) is going to be a continuous thing unless they are seriously injured, so I wouldn't worry about the entire NBA losing its fanbase over Pop's coaching decisions.


I wish this was half as difficult as you make it seem.
 
Got a lot of season left.... one game isn't going to make or break the blazers chances.

It was in Denver, so I think the Denver fans are going to live.

But you're point is well taken. Back in San Antonio, fans are no doubt lining up to cancel their season tickets over this outrage. Burning jerseys, setting fire to their practice facility. I'm curious to see if the franchise will have to move, maybe Seattle? Trying times.
 
The one thing I would point out, is the Spurs backups pushed the Nugz to the brink in that game. That in itself is a statement. Nugz win the series but so what. They did it against a team without its 3 stars. Now when the playoffs come, and if they face off, they cannot even have the solace of winning the series without the thought in the back of their mind, that the series win might have been fools gold.

That being said, lets not match up with San Antonio in the playoffs this year. Please.
