Thought this was worth reposting, SVG talks about the new depth, offensive success, defensive woes, our 7 man rotation, and playoff potential:

"Right now I see them as probably, the 5th or 6th team in the West, a solid playoff team in the strong Western Conference, but probably not quite ready to contend."

"A little bit like Golden State did last year in the playoffs, when you can shoot the ball like the Trail Blazers can you're always going to have a chance, nobody's going to want to play those teams."

"It's really gonna come down too, how tough can they become defensively and how good a job can they do on the boards when it counts."

I love Van Gundy. He just says what's on the too of his head. Wished he did more color commentating. He's a blast to listen to.

I agree with him. Right now, we are a solid playoff team, but I see something missing to contend. I will know more in another 20 games!

That's the van gundy that needs to be on TV. He actually knows his shit. lol.

Although I think Doug Collins is the best color commentator I like listening to the Van Gundy brothers to. I remember when Stan was rumored for the Blazers job before Stotts and hardly anyone wanted him near Portland.

Sadly Hubie Brown needs to be put out to pasture.

Hubie Brown needs to stop holding a coaching clinic on every play. He's a genius at teaching the game but it doesn't belong on a mike at tip off. Right now Steve Kerr is my favorite color guy in the league. I like Marv and Steve as broadcasters.
