Stanford vs Oregon

I responded to your claims about Stanford not Oregon. Faced with facts running directly counter to your claims about this Stanford team, you're trying to switch the subject instead of owning up to being wrong.

and this is what I said:

Stanford will try to do exactly what Arizona did. In that Az game, they had the ball for 38 minutes, the Ducks had it for 22 minutes. The Ducks are vulnerable to a ball control game because of injuries in their front-7

Oregon is 97th in the NCAA in opponent 3rd down conversions. And they are 122nd in opponent 1st downs/game. Those are big weaknesses that will cost them if they don't correct those weaknesses. And it's certain Shaw has studied the Az game and will try and do the same. Oregon's biggest problem so far this season is that the defense has trouble getting stops and getting off the field. That same defense has been living off of turnovers getting 3 a game. But Stanford has only committed 2 turnovers in 4 games and that was 2 interceptions thrown by the QB that has been benched. The players Oregon will face today have no turnovers. Something has to give

I also said this:

Brown has taken over 220 snaps and has 98 pass attempts without an interception or fumble. But that ratchets down his passing efficiency and results in some empty possessions. And if Stanford is successful in controlling ball & clock and limiting possessions, enough empty Duck possessions will kill them

have you watched the first half?

This Duck team is a Ferrari. Right now their QB is grinding the gears. Time to put in a new driver.

Yep, good call.
Absolutely amazed at how they are dominating both lines. Brown’s accuracy isn't very good.

Anthony Brown had a real bad half

his interception resulted in 7 Stanford points, and it was about the dumbest interception I've seen. And his piss-poor decision on that 4th and goal cost the Ducks 7 points. That's a 14 point differential in favor of Stanford, and unless the Ducks dominate the 2nd half, those 14 points will be damn hard to overcome

The Ducks must rely on their playmakers to get it done. Brown is a play runner, not a playmaker .

Brown almost did it again throwing a pick to the same spot

That was piss poor. C'mon Cristobal, make the change. I'm tired of this, golly, gee wiz, it's ok guys BS.

I saw the coach pat Brown on the back. I'm shocked the coach didn't rip him a new one. He wasn't pressured & threw another garbage pass.

Brown plays like a robot. He's too tight to be a good QB.

I don't think Stanford is dominating the lines that much. The defense looks the same as it has, and that is they are vulnerable in the flats behind the LB's. On offense, Brown is killing the ducks with bad decisions and bad passes

Cristobal yelling "let's go!", but c'mon man, your QB doesn't see the field. Put Thompson in. You recruited him for a reason. I don't see Alabama playing a robot QB because he has experience. They are playing their highly recruited talent.

This is a winnable game, but Brown's play is crapping that away.

Defense putting their stamp on the game finally. Brown led a nice drive, but if the Ducks are to meet their full potential, either Brown will have to up his game, and become more than a robot play runner. I'm hoping for best. Brown Jr. is an awesome young man that has overcome brutal injuries. It's not personal. I just believe he must become a playmaker who sees the entire field. So far he hasn't shown that ability. But i want him to succeed.

I know you'd like a QB change, but playing on the road, without Moorhead, who is both the OC and QB coach is about the worst time to make a change

Probably so. Agree. Brown is playing more robotic than in previous games, and almost telegraphed another pick. Understandable why coach went for the tie. It's all on the defense now. Especially with Verdell out. The Ducks will need to get Thompson ready this week because defenses look to have figured Brown out. Hopefully Coach Morehead is OK. Blessings to him. But it's time to get Thompson ready.

Man! Attrition taking a toll. Classic Stanford/Oregon matchup. Be nice to see Kayvon make a big play to lead to a game changing score.

Got to believe Brown will have to make a deep throw , and take advantage of Oregon's speed to win this. with Verdell out, i don't see dink & dunk working anymore.

Dye, for a smallish, not real muscular back, is one tough Hombre. His interior runs are amazing considering that fact.

Oregon killing the clock is just painful... I know Cristobal wants them to be this fundamental offensive line team, but we're just not coached well enough.

F-ing BELIEVABLE because it's Stanford. Wouldn't be without an Oregon implosion. As usual. C'mon Ducks, pull your heads out.

Yeah, several BS calls there. Why give the refs that power?
Stop taking the air out of the ball unless you're up by 2 touchdowns with 5 minutes to go.
C'mon, yes the hits were soft ,but near the head, and those are the rules. Stay away from the head or neck.
