The Charlotte Observer had an erroneous report in Friday's edition when Rick Bonnell cited Dell Curry's claim that his son Stephen Curry would be shutting it down following one final workout with Washington.

"The Washington one is set, and after that it's still open," said Curry to Chris Littmann of the Sporting News. "We're in talks with a lot of teams trying to get the right schedule going for the last week and a half. Beyond Tuesday in Washington, I don't have anything set yet."

Curry is also still talking about working out for Oklahoma City, Portland and Milwaukee.

I didn't know that Stephen Curry was Dell Curry's son.

Is Stephen Curry part of the Sergio scenario? :dunno:

Wouldn't Curry just be Blake 2.0 without a lot of the experience running the point. I thought he was just a pure shooter and didn't have the handles or the quickness to really play PG in the NBA.

I don't know...the guy was double- and triple-teamed all year, and still managed to play a passable point AND get shots. IIRC Bobby Knight dropped the "He's as good a passer as have ever played college basketball" label on him, and I tend to give the General a bit of respect in those matters. Moreso than if it was, say, Stephen A. Smith or Ric Bucher or something.

You know I see a lot of folks say he can't play the point. There are an awful lot of basketball experts out there who would disagree with you. Quite a few of them even say he is an elite point guard. Just because he played at Davidson and didn't have a lot of talent to back him up doesn't mean he isn't a point. It just means he had to carry the load because there wasn't a whole lot there. Do you even see anybody else from Davidson even listed on the draft board? Nope, not even in the 2nd round.

Yeah, and his other son is playing for Duke next year.
