I hated Duin when he was covering the Blazers. He was absolutely horrible. If some of you youngsters think Dwight Jaynes and John Canzano are bad, you should have been around for Steve Duin

Easy time to write article taking cheap shots at the Blazers. I'm sure a lot of casual fans are frustrated that the Blazers are rebuilding again and will jump on board with writers who are negative on the Blazers.

Us die hards know the Blazers had terrible luck and really couldn't avoid being put in the rebuild mode again. I'mpProbably just as frustrated as casual fan, if not more, but it's not like Allen isn't doing everything he can to put together a championship team. And didn't even read article because if anything it is not the same old numbing mediocrity . . . it is new and will be worse than mediocrity this year.

Duin at this point is basically a casual fan giving his take.

I actually have a much better feeling about this team now than I did a few years ago. I like the coach better, I think Lillard will be a star, and we have a nice balance of talent. It will take some time for everyone to gel and for the young guys to get some seasoning, but in the long run this team might actually be better than the Roy/Aldridge/Oden team would have been.

Lillard/Batum/Aldridge/Leonard might be better in the long run than Roy/Aldridge/Oden. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.

I really like this Lillard, but how quickly you have forgotten. Brandon was a very special player. Arguably one of the 10 best in the NBA. Roy/LA/Greg/Nic/ future was limitless!

I didn't say he wasn't, and I'm not saying Lillard will be as good as Roy, but I think he has a chance. He has the talent. Obviously they play different positions, so it's difficult to compare them, but point guards like Lillard come along less frequently than shooting guards like Roy.

Right now, how many point guards in the NBA have amazing court vision, athleticism, and can shoot from anywhere on the floor?

Roy wasn't top five. He was top 10 definitely, but not top 5. When he was at the top of his game, in say 2008-2009, I would have taken

Over Roy. He was easily in the top ten though.
