Here are a few of the quotes:

I think you target best talent, the Blazers don't have immediate needs… as for James Johnson, maybe I have not talked to anyone who is really high on him, so not sure that's the best option.

The Blazers are not trading Jerryd Bayless

Joe in Sumner,WA:
What are the best back up power forward BANGERS do the portland Trail Blazers have to choose from at this point. And do you think the draft or a free agent would fill that need better.
Steve Kyler:
Jordan Hill and DeJuan Blair… are tops in my book, Blake is here but he's going to the Clips… Gani Lawal could be there late for the Blazers, I was really impressed with his tenacity and his character he'd fit the culture, not sure he's offensively polished enough… This draft is not going to yield many answers this season… so free agency gets you a roster player, this draft gets you a prospect.

Just saw Jordan Hill in the elevator... he's a monster and a heck of nice guy.

Jeremy in UK:
the Blazers will trade the 38th, 55th and 56th pick along with Outlaw/Sergio to ...
Steve Kyler:
No one... I expect the Blazers will defer a few of their 2nd round picks, but I doubt they trigger a big draft day trade, they have the room to do it, but if such a deal goes down, it goes down in July once they gain capspace to absorb contract differences.
Jeremy in UK:
will the Blazers be able to sign McDyess or Smith as their backup 4? also, should the Blazers consider signing a veteren PG like Hunter to help developing Bayless?
Steve Kyler:
Sure, but it does not seem like that's where they are headed… as for the veteran concept, they have one… head coach Nate MacMillian

colin in oregon:
do you think if the blazers can get a good SF in return like gerald wallace or tayshaun prince, would they get rid of webster for one of them?
Steve Kyler:
Sure, but that's not what they are talking about, they like their squad, want to make some minor changes and ht this again.

colin in oregon:
ultimately what would you do as KP this offseason when it comes to the blazers?
Steve Kyler:
Stay the course... you are making great progress… avoid the temptation to do something silly... ask Phoenix, detroit and Toronto what a bad trade can do to a decent team.

Jordan Hill is a Banger? He seems more a finess type to me. Moot point as he will not be around for us to consider.

Well there is someone with little a clue
I enjoyed reading his takes of things, but I only wish that the following was true.

As for Amare, once a player is considered medical unable, a league appointed doctor makes a determination, if the league doctor agrees the team can file for cap relief, the dollars come off the cap, but the player is still paid, usually from insurance after missing 41 games.

STOMP

Steve lives in Florida. He doesn't know shit about the Blazers.

Yay more questions answered by another person with no more credibility than anybody on this board! That makes all the difference in making me feel better about the answers!:devilwink:

Maybe, but the questions were answered impartially since he has no particularly interest in the blazers.

Sweet, so they may have been answered by a person who actually has no idea what they are talking about, because they don't pay attention to the team. :tsktsk:

You could say that about anyone other than the GM (and you know the GM will not let anything of merit out) :tsktsk:

How would that workout, anyways?

Jordan Hill, a projected top-5 pick, would he be happy as a long-term backup in Portland?

I live in texas, and I know lots about the blazers.

In fact, I probably know more about most teams in the NBA than your average Joe/Jane. Who cares where they live?

Nate used to write for Hoopsworld, so I'm guessing he may have more intimate knowledge of Kyler's familiarity with the Blazers than most.

Then he should have just said, "Steve doesn't know shit about the Blazers". Where one lives really has no relevancy.

Then what would you have posted?

Something like That's just your opinion?, What do you base that on?

He gave an answer before some Link? idiot asked for one
