He's emotionally detached and doesn't respond negatively to the smack because he's trolling. The good thing about it is it's not mean spirited; it's good natured and somewhat entertaining. His absence of malice and his randomness have become part of the fabric of the forum. Kind of like how we tolerate The HCP.
