Bill Walton.

I don't see how anyone else could even be considered ahead of him.

It should have been built with The Rose Garden, but egomaniac Paul Allen has always tried to bury the glorious history that his reign pales in comparison to.

Without Bill Walton we never win a championship, or even come close really.

And then we went 50-10 behind him until he couldn't play with the pain, which pretty much ended his career.

Ramsey, the rest of the players, all fell back to earth and the reality of having no superhuman competitor to carry them to Nirvana again.

The Drexler years were fun, but we never became the best team in the league again, nor does it appear we ever will.

You can see 20 years in the future?

It didn't seem like he was trying to bury anything last night.

How many of those retired jerseys hanging in the rafters of the Rose Garden have been hung since Paul bought the team? Did any of the '77 team members have their jerseys retired before Allen bought the team? I know he bought the team in 1998 and Waltons jersey was retired on November 3, 1989.

Seems to me like Paul Allen has a history of honoring and celebrating that 1977 championship team.
