More often than not, it just leads to a botched possession. Give Lillard some room and let him work.

Stotts needs to start creating some plays where the opponent can't double him.

McMillan did the same thing with Roy and it drove me nuts. All that happens is the other team ends up sending both defenders to trap Lillard (or Roy at the time).

With this roster he can't.

The defense can focus on him.

He needs to play off the ball to get the room.

In short, he needs a legit PG to play with.

They only focus on Lillard when the Blazers run a PnR....because they can trap him and lose nothing.

I'd like to see some stats on Lillard ISOs vs PnRs. I have a hunch that Lillard scores on a good % of his isolations.

What's mind boggling to me is that sometimes they'll run two, three in one possession. One after another, despite generating no discernible advantage with each pick.

That's what Kidd and Dirk did and they won a title.

In all seriousness, this would work so much better if our bigs actually set good picks.

Actually, forget good. Even average would suffice, but LA is garbage at it, and Hickson has horrible angles for his picks. Luke and Jeffries might be our best screeners. So sad.

This occured to me as well. It's been this way for ages which is sort of baffling and stunning.
