I remember way back in the day....when I was around 15 or 16...I lived in Lake O. and my girlfriend lived in Milwaukie. I'd walk across that train trestle, meet her on the other side, then, invariably, we'd head over to Pietro's.

Good times.

We had a pietros across the street from my high school. I was a fan. Ate there all the time.

My favorite growin up was the organ grinder. Such a fun place and loved the Hawaiian pizza and cherry cokes

...it's good! And sadly, this style of pizza can only be found in the Northwest too. I prefer Paddington's Pizza Parlor in Salem the best. Pietro's, Wallery's, and the Home Place are all a close second. Abby's and the remaining "copy-cats" are a distant 3rd!

I've only seen Abby's in the Bend area. I wasn't a big fan.

It wasn't necessarily the pizza that I loved so much at Pietros, mainly the nostalgia.

We'd go there after Little League games on Friday or Saturday nights and my parents would meet up with their friends and bullshit over pitcher, after pitcher of beer while us kids got deep into the arcade games. Sporadically coming over to our parents section just to re-up on quarters until we heard the news that we had to get going and we were devastated. Only to do it over again the next weekend.

We frequented the one on Lombard because it was less than a mile from the house.

Also a fan of sunshine pizza exchange where I had a lot of bday parties....as well as home court pizza. Silver dollar pizza in aloha which had the original street fighter!

Not really. Chuck E. Cheese is more a place for little toddlers to go for birthdays so they can jump in nets with balls and look at mascots running around.

...it is like a semi thin style cracker bottom crust. I've also heard it called "Lumberjack Pizza". What the hell kind of pizza is made in Detroit or St. Louis that is unique???
