I think he'd be a better addition than Howard.

as long as he doesn't do that lame bird hand gesture.

He is Outlaw without a shot and better D. I don't think he is big enough to play backup 4 for us. I almost would rather see Howard.

I would rather see Pendergraph than both. I wonder what the story is with him.

Big enough weight-wise? Swift is 6'10" 220 and Howard is 6'9" 253 but in my opinion Swift is just better all around.

Swift is athletic and has some experience... but he appears to be dumber than a box of rocks.

Of course, expectations for him were sky-high since he came out of LSU as an underclassmen. As a roleplayer off the bench, I could see him becoming pretty valuable. I'd prefer him to Howard or Pendergraph (especially since we could just bury Pendergraph on the depth chart and let him earn minutes in a year or two...).

Ed O.

Meh. I guess he could be better than the rooks, but Swift doesn't really get me excited.

Um, yeah. 6'10'' 220 is pretty skinny. Travis is 6'9'' 207. Both FAR too skinny for PF. 6'9'' 253 sounds great for a PF.

I agree that Swift is better all around then Howard, but Howard would benefit the team more then Swift. Neither are going to play, so we need whoever would be a better mentor and practice player. Howard is that, by far.

How ironic! I was saying, please don't draft Tyrus Thomas! He's just another version of Swift!

I think I'd rather have Howard, simply based on his Bball IQ and passing. However, he's really kinda old. So, the hustle we need might not be there. But it would be good to have another old veteran hanging around.

Physically, Swift may have more left in the tank than Howard. Mentally, he has way too much Darius in him for my taste.

He's not too old to play 10-15 minutes a night.

yahoo lists him as 6'9, 225

I will trust what NBA.com list players at before I trust Yahoo.

And why do you guys think either one of these players are going to get any PT if they come here?

lol

It is a long season and players get hurt or need reast. Ether could play 10 to 15 for a week or so.

If you want to be accurate, I'd suggest trusting neither site. NBA.com uses whatever height and weight the player wants to be listed at. The predraft measurements are the only accurate measurement database we have access to. Unfortunately some guys (like Stro) skip the camp. Juwan showed up at his though and measured in at 6'8.5 barefoot and 253 lbs. To my eyes they're about the same height.

we agree here. Barring injuries, I doubt either guy would average 5 MPG. Which of the two players would be less likely to make a stink about rarely playing and stay focused for the times they're needed might be the better question.

I graduated from Michigan with Juwan in 95 (he still graduated with us even though he spent his senior year in the NBA) and so I am biasedly in favor of Juwan. Veteran big guy. Former All Star. Might have some words of advice for Oden. Sign him!
