I really don't give a shit what our record is at the end of the season, we aren't winning anything with these two dumbasses running the point.

Oh, honorary mention to "Sarge" for having so much misplaced confidence in these two stooges.

LOL funny stuff.

They played well enough to win tonight, just failed to execute when it counts.

Crawford is what he is. I think he will warm up and be OK.

Felton is just terrible. Once again, there is a reason every team who gets their hands on him trades him ASAP!

If you let a team shoot over 60% from three you fundamentally did NOT play well enough to win.

That's no way to curry favor in these parts, tonight.

Our guards sucked tonight. We let their guards have wide open shots. It was really frustrating to watch.

I was waiting for Nate to put Batum on Curry.

Crawful is impossible to beat. The field's still wide open on Felton.

How about this: Praymond Failton.

You pray that he won't fail on his next crossover, or simple pass, or layup, or wide open jumpshot.

Steph Curry was the only one they failed to stop, he scored 6 of the Warriors 11 shots from downtown. Many of which were in the fourth quarter, hence the "when it counts"

And gee, I wonder who was on Curry.

Oh, and David Lee started getting wide open jumpshots in the 4th because Aldridge had to help Crawford and Felton on Curry's dribble drives.

Oh so the Blazers guards utterly failed to adjust to the Warriors' number one option and couldn't stop him from scoring or the pick and roll that he was running with Lee? Well, mission accomplished.

Crawful is tweeting:
Haa.some of these writers kill me, 8 diff tweets about our "gaurd" play.every1 can tell u how 2 do it that's never done it!!! No separation with us..win as a team, loose as a team...#thatswack

Nic:
Tough loss but we need you against PHX friday...and thank you for your support, you guys are the best

I bet Gerald Wallace doesn't read tweets and if I was Jamal Crawford I'd follow his lead.

GSW beat the Bulls, so they may not be as bad as their record.

Believe it or not, Felton was +6 (best on the team) in 30 minutes. In comparison, Wesley was -11 in the same time. So, who you gonna believe? The +/- or your lying eyes?

Totally, Mike and Mike were saying the same last night. And Mark Jackson is the man.

That said, last night was a good indication of where the Blazers are at and where they need to go.

Single game +/- isn't very useful.

It's about as useful as any stat. Single game scoring isn't useful either - a bucket could be mistakenly credited to you or credited to you because it was accidentally tipped in by a player on the other team and you were nearest. However, it is a 100% accurate indicator of how much the scores varied when you were on the court. Now, if you have exactly the same +/- as every other starter, then you could be the weak link. But if you have a better +/- than ANYONE ELSE, then it's a bit of a mystery how you could be the weak link.

So: the most you could say about Felton is that he stopped the Blazers from outscoring the Warriors by more than six while he was on the court. What you can't say is that the Blazers collapsed every time he took the court.

Ah, that's what i get for getting into a thread late. :)

sample size WAAAAAAY too small.

+/- is too dependent on team play to be useful in a single game.

Scoring, on the other hand (to take Rasta's alternate stat) is much more indicative of how a single player played. Not be-all, end-all, of course, but much more meaningful.
