so did wes i believe. we should of put batum on him more
Wes was on Monta during most of the night. But yes, Curry did beat Matthews on a couple possessions.

+/- is too dependent on team play to be useful in a single game.
Scoring, on the other hand (to take Rasta's alternate stat) is much more indicative of how a single player played. Not be-all, end-all, of course, but much more meaningful.
He was too busy guarding Nate's gatorade on the bench.so did wes i believe. we should of put batum on him more
"More meaningful"? "Ah yes, from the fact that Kobe scored 35 tonight, I understand that the meaning of life is to be good to our friends and get closer to God."
And scoring has nothing to do with team play? Funny, I thought that players have to have, y'know, plays run for them, which involves OTHER PLAYERS setting picks and giving them the ball, 'n shit. But no, the rest of the team is basically irrelevant, yeah. So Andrew Bynum's and Kobe Bryant's scoring spikes, combined with Pau Gasol's fall in scoring has nothing to do with a new coach and new plays. It just means Gasol's suddenly got crap.
I'm not Nate, but I'd do that. Start Crawford at PG, and forbid him from shooting the ball unless there is less than 5 seconds on the shot clock, or he is wide open, or out front on a fast break. I'd consider starting Nico at SG while we're at it. I generally enjoy it when Nico and Crash are in the game at the same time.If I were Nate, I'd really start thinking about starting Crawford at PG and bringing Felton off the bench to play backup minutes. Felton has been that horrible. If Felton still can't improve, let him rot on the bench the rest of the year and give minutes to Elliot Williams and Nolan Smith.
After this season I hope I never see either one in a Trail Blazers uniform again
My theory is that playing with a worse point guard in Felton is hurting his shooting numbers. We all know Wes is a rhythm guy, whether he's hitting layups or jumpers, it doesn't matter. Wes got a lot more open looks close to the basket with Miller than with Felton, and that is in turn, making him shoot worse on his jump shots.
Last year 25% of his shots came close to the rim, he converted at at rate of .623 eFG and was assisted on 65% of those baskets. 28% came at the rim, he converted those at .635% eFG and was also assisted on 65% of those.

This year, 22% of his shots came close to the rim, but he's converting those at a rate of .469 eFG, more than 15% lower than he did last year. Plus, he's only being assisted on 39% of these baskets. Likewise, 23% of his shots come at the rim, hes shooting .462 eFG on those, and also being assisted only 42% on those. So we see he's shooting less shots close to the basket, shooting significantly worse at the basket, and also being assisted on less of those baskets.

The "eye" test supports this as well. Miller knew how to get the ball to his teammates, and he would throw passes that put them in a position to score. Matthews has been trying to create more himself because his backcourt partner does a poor job setting him up. I think we all underestimate the importance of a good pass.
Even if a guy catches the ball wide open, if he has to bring the ball up because it was thrown too low, bring it down because it was thrown too high, or too hard that it throws off his rhythm, he's more likely to miss. Miller and guys like Steve Nash deliver passes to teammates in rhythm. Felton throws wild passes that make the target, but force them to adjust.
To think where would we be right now had we kept Andre Miller and drafted Kenneth Faried? I think our record would be way better
Jesus Christ - didn't we get Felton because Andre couldn't hit threes? Felton bricked so many that he got gunshy and passed up the most open three ever just when we needed it. He got outplayed by the Jazz's backup, the very definition of "journeyman". If we had an AVERAGE PG we might actually be good. What the hell happened to Felton?
(And as for Crawford - getting blocked by Justin Bieber? Hang your head in shame!)
No. Crawfish are good. We can't associate that piece of shit withCrawfish and Failton
Exactly, I'm excited what Elliot Williams could bring as a PG but wait again Nate doesn't ever give them experience unless its a 30 point blowout and 8 minute playing time. I'm tired of the Nate system. Bring Mills back and let Williams and him get exp.And I know somebody said that 30 teams passed on jeremy Linn but only 3 or 4 teams desperately need a good young point guard and of course we are one of them!
