Summer "BIG Swing" trade

yeah, I'm just having trouble with the notion the Blazers can get enough value for the unprotected 2029 1st in a Giannis trade to make it worthwhile.

Yeah I have no idea what value they have or how interested Milwaukee is in getting them back..... but we should at least be open to the idea.

sure. But, I'd think the Bucks, if they are dumping Giannis, would place a lot higher value on 2025-2027 picks than a pick in 2029

I'd be most interested in Amen Thompson and Reed Shepard. Short of either, I'd hold onto the picks.

Houston owns a number of unprotected Phoenix picks. Those look pretty damn good as well. Might be the Bucks prefer their own pick just as Brooklyn did.

2025 lottery is set and over. While teams might want a 2025 pick no team cares about controlling their own once the lottery is done.

Pelicans have one Milwaukee swap and one unprotected pick. We have more, in a 2nd swap plus our best 2029 effectively has two swaps in it. So we effectively own 4 unprotected swaps and an unprotected pick.

Mfs gonna pay us a price. Not our fault y’all aped your whole savings for an old Dame
I want Jabari Smith Jr, Domantas Sabonis and any other buy low opportunities that have a ceiling of a championship role player. No giveaways

you're working way too hard at this

as I said, I simply can't believe that within the framework of a Giannis trade, there would be enough value in surplus assets floating around that would warrant the Blazers sending out Milwaukee's 2029 first

as for the pick swaps:

Hell no

Way way too much.

So tired of seeing proposals like this that fleece us like we are just here for spare parts. Fuck that.

The Milwaukee pick better not be moved unless we get gold. This year's pick better be used wisely too in any trade.

It really comes down to if Milwaukee wants to send us more value than their picks are worth to us for us to return them.

The Nets did that with Houston.

In theory there's a rational for it, Milwaukee can then tank and get the benefits of their own picks. Their not going to tank if we get the pick. So in theory the pick should be worth more to Milwaukee than us.

Will they give us enough value to have the trade make sense from our end? Who knows - it's possible and happens sometimes in similar situations. But it often doesn't happen.

Who says no? Wizards may need Rupert and another 2nd rounder.

Ant, Tou, Deni, Giannis, Clingan
(Brogdan), Green, Middleton, Thybulle, RobWill/Reath

Any way we can use the Bucks picks to snatch Dylan Harper instead of the Bucks?

Durant, Giannis, Celtics starters, plus key players from Wolves Thunder Knicks Pacers, whoever doesn't win it all, will be on the move. This is gunna be an interesting summer

Would you like to see the Blazers go after Darius Garland, Trae Young or maybe even De’Aaron Fox if the Spurs draft Dylan Harper?
