Has had injury issues, can't shoot, and his dad is a nutbar.

No thanks.

he can shoot....not exceptionally but acceptably. And he averaged 25-5-7 last season after just turning 23.

but yeah...injuries. He's only averaged 46 games for his career and only 35 the last 3 years. And he's on a 42M/year deal for the next 4 seasons

and yeah, his dad is a total jackass

but it's bleacher report so why think it has any basis in reality

IF this is true and I have my doubts but if it's true that jack ass in the front office should be fired and I do not mean JUST losing a job -- I mean put there ass in a big fucking cannon and fire them far far far away. -- period

( Ball Rumor )

It's always just 0-100 with you, huh?

I guess it just depends on what you consider acceptable shooting for someone who is going to make over 42 million a year for the next 4 years.

I call it as I see it -- one thing I did not consider is his contract ( looking it up now ) -- OMG -- I stand by what i said it's even worse then Grants and at least Grant stays healthy for the most part.

RR7 -- I may take things to the extreme but sit there and tell me I am wrong that trading for that bad contract and the fact his ass cannot stay healthy makes ANY fucking sense for this team ?? -- waiting with baiting breath cause there is no way in HELL you can tell me he would be a good trade target.

good point; I did mention that salary....and when I look a little closer he really didn't shoot acceptably well, I guess, at least not last season

Depending on the price, I'd love LaMelo on this team.

melt down in....

and it's bated breath. As in I wait with bated breath your response

RR7 your entitled to your opinion but I do not agree -- but whatever -- life would be boring if we all agreed on everything.

his lack of impact towards winning doesnt concern you? i understand his roster sucks and coaching has been iffy, but he doesn't seem like much of a culture setter.

and we need him to be one if he's a foundational part of the rebuild

Only way the Blazers would trade Deni is MAYBE for Giannis or someone of that nature but NOT for this package for sure.

Like you said, his roster has been iffy, at best. So doesn't concern me a ton. Deni was never part of a winner, but we can see he easily has the tools to impact winning.

Again, all depends on the price,of course

written by somebody with no clue at all about the Blazer perspective...none

"One unconfirmed proposal would have Portland receive Brandon Clarke, GG Jackson, a 2026 first-round pick (protected), a 2028 first-round pick (swap/protected), and second-round picks (2025, 2027)"

lol...ignorance is bliss

I don't know why people even look at those sites. It would be like referencing BlazersEdge. They don't have sources. They don't know jack shit.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I'm at least listening if it's GG, 2 frp's and 2 srp's. Can't stand Clark but I'm sure he's needed for salaries. I'd also want to somehow gauge the likelihood of Deni resigning here.
GG Jackson is a guy that I can see becoming the star scorer that we need. He can shoot from deep, gets to the hoop easily and is a good passer. When he came out the question was about his maturity, but it hasn't been brought up since. The draft picks would be icing.
I'm just not sure if Deni can play his style and stay healthy and affective over time.
Not saying I'd do it, but I'd at least take some time to think about it. GG would have to be a part of the return.

I think my concern is health.... it seems like all of those guys have real injury issues. At least Scoot and Shae aren't making max money right now, and we might be able to get them on significantly better contracts than what Ball is getting.

But Ball is dice roll that could pay off. He's an All-Star. He's really good when he's healthy. Same issue as Zion.

Ball under Billups would be interesting.

He’d make life so much easier for Clingan.

I’d do it IF he’s even available.

Big no on Brown. He’s good but that mega-max contract will turn toxic, just you watch.

Why do people wanna give up on Scoot? I think we will see a big jump this season.

If the judgment by Cronin/Schmitz is to trade one or both, good. Don’t stick with them too long just because they drafted them. It’s not a great look, but flipping them for players who fit better? I’m up for that.

With that said … I haven’t given up on either one. The salary structure of the team NEEDS fixing. Call it recalibration or whatever. No one expects Ayton, Grant, Ant, TimeLord and Thybulle to be Blazers long term. Three of them have been starters and that is changing soon enough. And I don’t expect more than a couple — at most — to actually remain beyond their current contracts.

If Scoot and Sharpe aren’t the dudes we hope them to be, and other useful guys can be brought in, okay. The rebuild is not complete.
