You know, there's two ways of looking this (damn, Nash with a miss at the FT line?) -- Miller's dominating because Roy is stinking it up, or Miller's dominating which is making Roy stink it up the court. I really think it's the former; against LAC and here against PHX, he hasn't "turned it on" until we drop down by double-digits. That he's a one-man running game is pretty cool, too. If anyone bothers to get up the court before him, they'll probably profit.

This, and I'm not even on the Miller loving end of things here.

So basically if take care of the ball against the defensive juggernut that is the Phoenix Suns and Roy shows up we win this game.

Turnovers, bad freethrow shooting, bad defense, turnovers... all come before Roy sucking on the list of "things that caused us to lose"

Oden - 17 points off 8-10 shooting, 13 boards, 3 blocked shots.

Andre - 25 points off 9-15 shooting, 6 assists, 5 boards

Yeah....... it's all Miller. Blame the loss on him. The guy was on fire. He shot a great percentage, and he still had a solid all-around game.

Offensively, yes, but I don't see how you can argue he had a solid all around game when Nash, Barbosa, and even Dragic had big games against him.

I would be concerned if Aldridge and Oden were playing bad as well, but they're not. Roy is the only guy who is struggling tonight. He just needs to learn how to play with Miller and Oden. We can't put this all on Miller.

Hasn't anyone else noticed that Roy's decline has paralleled with Oden's rise? Nate has been focusing on establishing Oden in the post, and thus Roy has been given less iso's.

Roy will adjust. I would rather see Oden continue to dominate. He needs this.

With about 30 seconds left in the first half, Miller had taken 1 shot, and had 5 assists.

Miller started taking over because he needed to.

We wanted another scoring threat on this team that could take some pressure off of Roy, and Miller clearly can do that.

Well, unfortunately I can't watch the game because the Blazers chose not to televise it, so all I have to go off of is the box score.

Exactly. I'm not too worried about all this, but depressed statistical performance may be a bugaboo for Roy's award-centric career path. I'm hopeful that he sees beyond the accolades to two very important things:

1 - Being the team's Leader
2 - Earning his Phat Sacks of Cash

I genuinely believe he'll do both, even with slighty depressed stats (there's only so many touches to go around, and Oden owns the first half these days).

Even the "bad" Roy game we had tonight would be a non-factor if we cut down our turnovers by 5 or so.

I think a lot of it is Roy is just off. I seen scrimmages before preseason and it looked like Roy couldn't miss, now his shot just isn't dropping. I don't think it's just because of the different lineups.

Now is when I wish I was there or at least could see it on tv.

The Blazers were down by 1 point at the half. Clearly, that's when a distributing PG should start dominating the ball and lose by 6 points at the end of the game.

Thank goodness the Blazers have Andre Miller to decide when to give up on Brandon Roy.
