I adore Channing Frye


I love that he has a summer home in Portland still. Just a great guy. They really should have kept him and let Blanky and Travis walk

His fiancee is from here. Plus, have you ever spent a long period of time in Phoenix? I have several friends who live here now after growing up in Portland. They all seem to love Portland and having the four seasons.
 
Win this game and we're only 1.5 games out of the 4th seed. Lose this game and our entire season is lost.

Agreed. But if that was to have happened, we would've had to have gotten a coach who takes advantage of more than just 3 players offensive talents.

No but as a stretch four off the bench as your 7th or 8th man? I think Frye could eventually be fairly productive on a championship type team, he creates a shit load of space and a big time matchup problem when he's hitting that shot.

He just never really fit here because the Blazers already had a player just like him in LaMarcus.

Why keep a player, Channing, Sergio, Jerryd, Rudy...when your coach won't use them?

I have spent time in a desert climate, and while I'm sure you'd get used to it, the lack of a change in weather would drive me nuts.

I'm not sure if I consider the scenery too beautiful, but they do have easy women tanned women...so...
 
You guys are so predictable regarding Frye. He played outside with us and he was a soft pussie. Now he plays outside and shoots well for Phoenix and it is Nate's Fault. Hey if you want a center who plays 25 feet from the basket then Frye is your man. We will see how that works out in the playoffs.

Seriously, though. I like Blake, I really do. But how can anyone (who watches the games) defend his performance over the last few weeks??

You can go see all the skiing and snow you want 1 1/2 from Phoenix. Much better than Portland.

He's been playing very badly and deservedly lost his starting position. That doesn't mean he's always played this badly. He's in a slump. Happens to everyone.

It was sarcasm. I think you need to kick back, smoke some herb, relax. But your manic comments come across on a nightly basis, so I hardly think some part of you isn't serious here. Someone even has your bipolar-like up and down rant as one of the quotes.

He lost his starting spot, but still gets the same minutes. Doesn't really make a difference when your minutes stay the same.

Why do that when I can walk out my front door and enjoy the rain. Meanwhile, people in Phoenix will wake up, walk out their doors to sun and 75 degrees. What suckers!!

But when the apocalyptic drought hits, I'd much rather be where the water is!
 
Charmin Frye outscored any Blazer in the half. Give credit to Phx coaches and Steve Nash for realizing he's only worthwhile if he's shooting, and then only from range. That's fitting your plan to your players rather than the other way around.
 
Why does Barkley say that even if all our injured guys come back we still don't have any low post presence... excuse my ignorance but WTF is G.O.?

Greg doesn't YET have a refined post game to the point that you can count on him by just throwing him the ball. He gets most of his points off putbacks and wide open dunks created for him by his teammates. Eventually, he will be a low post presence, but not quite yet.
