LaMarcus Aldridge is so commercialized, man. Its too "convienient".
"I don't like the nba recognizing him! We knew him before he blew up!"

Have you ever traded in a car? You can't expect the starts to align and get equal value back.

All of our players are perfect and our team shouldn't change a thing!
Let the cake bake baby![]()
Larry Sanders is obscure? He's averaging over 3 blocks per game...
LMA doesn't command the double team any more. Teams have stopped doing that for the most part because LMA has stopped posting up. He posts up about 5 times a game now. He may get doubled once or maybe twice. It is not something that the Blazers are exploiting - so it doesn't matter if he CAN command double teams. The fact is, right now he DOESN'T.Do any of those players command a double team?
My problem with Trade Assumptions is that there are so many moving variables it's almost unrealistic to propose them

That's not in question; the problem is people who flip the fuck out as soon as someone talks about trading Aldridge, like it's the biggest slap in the face to even mention his name in possible trades.
Talk about flipping the fuck out when someone gives an opinion . . . this thread is exhibit #1 of flipping the fuck over what other posters say.
Aldridge has Quit; Sunshine and Rainbows! . . . this board is on emotional tilt these days
The whole point was that people slam the board and talk about leaving if someone feels different about one player on the team. It seems a little absurd, almost absurd as thinking that everything is completely okay that nothing should be changed. It's not just the Aldridge thread either. There are similar posts in the Lillard/Roy thread. It's like, if someone doesn't agree, this board has completely lost its marbles and they're done posting here. It just seems kind of outlandish considering the whole point of this forum is to... you know.... debate basketball. There's going to be people at one end of the spectrum, others at the complete other end of the spectrum, and a bunch of people inbetween. Why lump everyone into the same category and say "the board this" or "the board that"...

I understand your point. Do you see the irony that you make this post to make a point that people are overreacting to posters.
Anyways, not a big deal, more threads and strongly opinionated posters create more traffic, IMO. If posters don't like the topic, they don't have to read the thread. And if they want to use the excuse of a thread to say they are going to leave, they were probably looking for a reason to leave or are trying to get attention.
Just wanted to point out that starting a thread like this seems as extreme as some of the posters you are cracking on . . . but maybe that was your intention. One thing is for sure, you just put yourself on the same level as KS . . . and that is no compliment my friend.![]()

"I liked him better when he was the second option on offense".

Keep it weird Portland! Hahaha
