Seems to happen more often than naught. I go to a superbowl party, and a guy rooting for my team really whoops it up all game, and the other team comes back.

Falcons coaching failed pretty hard late there in the 4th with 3+minutes up by 8 in field goal range.
Second down, chance to make it a two possession game.
Should've ran it twice, and kicked the field goal.
Instead chooses to pass, Ryan gets sacked. Then a holding penalty knocks them out of FG range.
Almost as bad play calling as Seattle choosing to pass instead of hand the ball to Lynch a couple years ago.

Most Recent Championships:

NBA: 4 point, Game 7 win.
NFL: OT win to give Brady his 5th
MLB: Game 7, Extra Innings, Cubs Win
College Football: Winning Pass TD with 1 sec let
College Bball: Game Winning Buzzer Beater
What would yall rate these games in terms of greatest finishes?

I was just going to type the exact same thing. They were smart to throw to get into fg range, but once they were there it was idiotic to try it on 2nd down. They were around the 25 at the time. Just run it twice and kick it. Game over

That is tough. I'm thinking back to my emotions during them all. All such great sports highs. I wasn't as emotionally invested in this game, so I would put this at the bottom for me. My list probably goes:

NBA
NCAAMB
MLB
NCAA football
NFL

I was following this over on GlockTalk, sorry.

Pats fans are going to be utterly insufferable for decades to come.

You have no idea what that's like while having Montana as your team's QB icon.

Oh, and by the way....think Fox did a good job giving Brady fellatio? Christ, I've never heard so much cock sucking in my life.

Hey @Jade Falcon, how to do feel about Shanahan now?

Sigh. How do you think I feel?

We already had one choke artist HC, and every 9er fan still sucks his dick to this day.

I can't even imagine what it's going to be like if or when Kyle chokes our chances for a 6th Lombardi away. Not looking forward to it.

I knew the Falcons were in deep shit when they used up too many timeouts. And challenging that play was just utterly stupid beyond words.

I hope he learns from this, and I hope it haunts him until he wins one with us.

Are there really a lot of die hard Falcons fans? Or are they like the Seahawks and all bandwagon and shit? I know ATL has a shitty sports following for the most part, yeah?

Congrats to the Pats, they deserved to win that. Great game.

They didn't call it on either side really, that was the only reason I got mad at the PI at the end of the game because they were letting everything go in the trenches and that was a PI but not a blatant one.

I hate the Pats and I thought it was a good call. And every defensive holding call on that series where they called 3 in a row.

The penalty for holding is bullshit. I don't think it should be an automatic 1st. 5 yards that's it. Or maybe 10 since it's worth 10 yards against the offense.

I've always hated that. 10 yards for something that could be called on literally every offensive play seems ridiculously punitive.

Another possible screwup by the falcons, I noticed on their last drive they were snapping the ball with 15+ seconds on the play clock. Could have made a difference maybe to bleed it down a little.

I guess we can point out all the things we think the Flacons could have done. Point is they lost, and Brady won yet again, not really a surprise. They need to take some time off to clear their heads and come back ready and hungry. Super Bowl losses can prove demoralizing, take the Panthers last year, they lost and it destroyed them, had a shamble of a season this year. Its all about how you come back from it. Hey, you never know who will dominate the NFC next season and meet the Patriots in Super Bowl 52. It could be your team.

i loved the fact that when Goodell handed the trophy to Kraft and talked, you couldnt hear him over the boo's!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Chicago is the team I grew up watching, so I guess that makes them my team.
It won't be Chicago.
Chicago has the same chance the Browns do of making it to SB52.

If we can get close enough to a 6th Lombardi to choke it away in Shanehans 6 years here, I'd be extremely happy.

That play was extremely close. No reason not to challenge it.

Y'all Niner fams gotta chill and give him a chance. He's better than the last 2 shit head coaches we've had.
