The spread was 1pt, the sharpe money was mostly on KC, so to say "nobody believed in us" is just false. I get that it's just sports, and so the mentality or spreading a lie to justify being the victim isn't as bad as it might be in other areas of life. At the very least, it's becoming an old line. At least get creative!

People/teams do whatever it takes to motivate themselves. If saying everyone doubts you gets you amped for a game so be it. I’ve heard people complain about that several times. These coaches use bulletin board material all the time.

I also doubt most NFL players even know what a sharpe is.

I'm not talking about them lying to themselves to get motivated, that's fine. I'm saying the "nobody believed in us" narrative it tired, it's a lie, and I would prefer it be left out of the post-game interview.

It’s just bulletin board material that dumb football players soak up

I think Mahomes has a legit chance to finish his career with as many rings as Brady

Lies.....in today's society? No way!

Is it possible for a team to win a title and not say "Nobody thought we could win... put some respect on our name!" despite it being a totally false narrative?
Same team that was in the top 4 of Vegas odds to start the season. Same team that has been to 5 straight AFC title games, 3 Super Bowls and has won 2 of them. Kelce is an amazing player that is a moron behind the mic.

It was a holding penalty but wish the refs had kept the flag in his pocket. Overall a fun game, good food, ok commercials and a nap inducing halftime show. Solid B+ for the day that included a free round of golf at our local country club.

I didn't like the PI, but it was holding. (The cornerback even admitted it was) Just tough for that call to be made at that point on a non-egregious foul.

What hurt Philly was their vaunted defense didn't hold the Chiefs one single time in the 2nd half. The Chiefs scored on every possession. The Eagles led the league in sacks, but did they get even 1? Then they allowed a hobbled Mahomes to gain 44 yards on the ground. Wouldn't be surprised at a rematch next season. The Chiefs might only get better as they have Draft picks coming from the Tyreke Hill trade. Very impressive that they could move perhaps the most dynamic receiver in football....and somehow get better.

Crazy that those two teams were the best at sacking the QB all season and yet there was only one sack in the entire game and that was a one yard loss when Hurts ran out of bounds. Neither side was able to get to the other QB.

I'm obviously the most anti-NFL guy but I got a really good laugh out of this:
