The spread was 1pt, the sharpe money was mostly on KC, so to say "nobody believed in us" is just false. I get that it's just sports, and so the mentality or spreading a lie to justify being the victim isn't as bad as it might be in other areas of life. At the very least, it's becoming an old line. At least get creative!
People/teams do whatever it takes to motivate themselves. If saying everyone doubts you gets you amped for a game so be it. I’ve heard people complain about that several times. These coaches use bulletin board material all the time.
I also doubt most NFL players even know what a sharpe is.
