OT Surgery

Shit I can't pee. Only some blood is coming. My bladder is near full. They may have to cathereize me and drain it. This sucks.

water work outs and yoga...tai chi....and power walking ...worst thing you can do is atrophy from lying around...of course that depends upon the surgery
I had a Blazer doctor do the surgery on my knee long ago. He had me doing leg exercises the same day as my surgery. I was still groggy from the anesthetic. The follow-up physical therapist was also a former Blazer physical therapist and he told me that I was healing faster than any athlete he had ever worked on.
Another one of my multitude of doctors once told me that there is no ailment that physical exercise wouldn't improve. I'm a big believer.

Are you kidding?
1. I get very little relief from morphine and now I am medically prohibited from taking it along with a dozen other pain relievers;
2. My wife would pack her bags and head out the door faster than you can say lickety-split if I ever did anything with another woman. Now, I live for my wife so I'd never do anything to give her cause to pack her bags. Besides, she's still the most beautiful woman in the world to me and I have zero prurient interest in any other women.
Okay, I know you're kidding but I threw that out there for the benefit of others who might not know me very well.
In the meantime, I'll keep my pain killer to the bourbon Sly smuggles into the hospital for me. I'll keep my fanny pats reserved for only the best looking nurses. One point that needs to be made, with the looks of most of the VA nurses there'll be very little fanny patting. Besides, I think most of them could beat me in an arm wrestle or any other kind of wrestling.
lol...I was just pulling your chain and you are a good sport.
Having family camp at detroit lake today till sunday, got some of that bourbon pain killer for when my knee stiffness up and gets a bit painful.

Glad to see you writing a new horror story while you recover! That's some scary shit!

Yeah it was. Got past that. The threat of a catheter got things going

Oh man, I though the surgery was at the other end!

Through my stomach. They cathetered me during it and removed it before I woke. That and the anesthesia caused me to have the issues with peeing.

"I've had 14 broken bones, 2 concussions, and a punctured lung. I know pain!"

Oh boy. I remember that commercial.

Not until you get a tube stuck up your dick you don't

Ha!

Well let me tell you a truth. It is pebbles come out you're dick that set the standard for pain! Perhaps a slight re-calibration is due where the pebbles can't get out through you're dick.

When the nurse asks you on a scale of 1 to 10 where is you're pain level? The stones not getting out are 11 on that scale. Broken bones and catheters are not in the same game.
Enjoy you're soup. Shit can get worse! :cool2:

I use to love to fish and camp up the Breitenbush river near the hot springs. Haven't fished in the Detroit reservoir in many decades but it truly is God's country up there.

When I was about 14 years old, a fellow from Salem, brought me a new Garcia (later called a Mitchell) spinning reel if I would guide him on a Steel-head fishing trip on the North Santiam river. Damn! I was pleased to do it, I coveted that reel. It was state of the art at the time, imported from France as I recall. Geez, you know that thing went for about $30 buck at the time, that's like 400 or 500 in today's depreciated money. I had a number of clients that kept me pretty busy in the spring fishing the North Santiam and the Little North Fork.

Least they cared enough to put stitches in. They just glued me back together like I was some third-grader's art project.

Next time insist on Duct Tape. It keeps the universe together. It can keep you in one piece as well.
