Not surprised. So obviously his next step is to go to Federal Court and try to get an injunction to block this. What the Yankees do next regarding his contract will be interesting. I also think ARod better worry about getting sucked into a Congressional hearing, its an election year and the vpols will be looking for low hanging fruit to nibble on. They didn't get the Rocket...but ARod can't keep to the script. The only legacy numbers he needs to think about now will be those stenciled on his prison jumper.

No way federal court will get involved. A rod is done in my opinion. Now who replaces him? Also will the Yanks go over the 189 threshold?

Not sure if I ever believed 189 was a hard and fast rule. As for 3B, time for the Captain to continue the Ripken model.

Great news. There is no way he can take this to Federal Court. If he was to take the stand, it would be devastating. In addition, the courts are very friendly to the CBA and I don't think that will change. Now the sound bites will be interesting. MLB must be happy with what I perceive is a win.

I wondered about the speculation that he would seek an injunction, didn't seem logical....but then ARods behavior isn't logical. So does he go down as a serial denier, or does he pull a Lance and eventually come clean once his inner circle is ready to sell him out?

...HA !...didn't someone around here call it and hit it on the nose?

OK Carnac, let's hear you predictions for the rest of his career and what the Yanks organization does, both on/off the field.

I agree, and the Yankees should be forcing it for the good of the team.

Arod will end up broke and in jail and will share a cell with a skinhead named Butch who will make a permanent playground out of his ass.

[disclaimer; this is not a prediction, but instead, it is a recurring dream of mine]

Ha! Your dream reminds me of a song called "I hope you die!" By the Bloodhound Gang.

Hope You Die"

...You must die I alone am best!
I hope ya flip some guy the bird,
He cuts you off and you're forced to swerve,
In front of the Beatles' tour bus,
A Bookmobile and a Mack truck,
Hauling hazardous biological waste,
The light turns red you have no brakes,
And "Hard Copy" gets it all on tape,
So you can see the look on your face,
...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!,
...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!,
I hope your Pinto begins to spin,
Takes out a disabled Vietnam Veteran,
Mows down a Nobel Peace Prize Winner,
And maybe some orphans having Christmas dinner,
Perhaps even the British Royal Family,
And the Rabbi that's clutching the bottle-fed puppy,
And we can't forget the newlyweds,
And those Jerry's Kids are as good as dead,
I hope this helps to emphasize,
I hope this helps to clarify,
I hope you die,
I hope your cellmate thinks he's God,
But C.N.N. refer to him as "Bowling Ball Bag Bob",
Serving time again for abuse of a corpse,
Only this time the victim's a Clydesdale horse,
While he masturbates to photos of livestock,
He does the "Silence of the Lambs" dance to Christian Rock,
Eats feces and quotes from "Deliverance",
And fights with his imaginary playmate Vince,
...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!,
...Die Die Die Die Die Die Die!,
I hope he grins like Jack Nicholson,
And forces you to play a game called Balls On Chin,
And whatever happens next is all a blur,
But you remember "fist" can be a verb,
And when you finally regain consciousness,
You're bound and gagged in a wedding dress,
And the prison guard looks the other way,
'Cause he's the guy ya flipped the bird the other day,
I hope this helps to emphasize,
I hope this helps to clarify,
I hope you die,
...I hope you die!.

If A-rod were smart he'd get a pack of dogs to lick his wounds, keep his mouth shut, and figure out a way to possibly collect all or some of the salary he is owed. The man is more full of S@@t than a septic tank.

Hope yanks go after some or all of that 61 mill left on a-fraud's fraudulent contract. Good time now to test that morals clause and drag a-rods ass into court and up onto the stand if he fights it.:clap::clap::clap::clap:

...if ARod tries to take this to the next level, he's a bigger tool than I thought...then again, considering his history, it would not surprise me if he did.

He can take it to federal court, but the likelihood it would be heard is extremely minimal...

Even the union will not back him on any appeals.

Toast in the eyes of MLB and public opinion. Now I don't completely buy the Bosch interview on 60 Minutes, that man is trying too hard to save his own skin. I cannot believe in this day and age, for the guy to say ARod was smart about the 'products', but then he was a complete fool in the process of cheating. Really? But then again, he lives in a bubble...ARod's Planet, so perhaps he was getting away with it in his own mind.

If you are in the Yankee front office, do you pull the trigger on severing all ties with him and seeking to retain the $61M balance for the last 3 years. Or do you go after more due to the injury to the brand, lost potential revenue, etc.

During that interview he also says that A-Rod was afraid of needles so he had to inject him. Which he says he personally did 6 times.

Didn't Bonds also suffer from Aichmophobia?

Yankees and Arod just need to come to an agreement on a buyout. He is owed I think over 60 million through 2017 Yanks should just offer him 45 million and Arod should just retire with what very little if any dignity he has left.

Given the rancor and animosity between both the Yankee and ARod camps, what is the basis for a discounted buyout agreement? I only thing I think that might carry weight would be the perception that the Yanks have legal recourse to pursue past salary paid on the basis that his injuries where caused by PEDs.

A 61M dollar check & Torrie Wilson......DAMN! we should all be so lucky.

Lucky? Career over, records gone, hof gone. Guess he can hang with Lance Armstrong.

Time for Rose to capitalize as he is no longer MLB Enemy Number One.

They can both sign autographs at hall of fame ceremonies now

Would the union be ok with that?
