I live in LO as well. Beautiful place. Lived here as a kid until I was 11, family moved to CA. Stayed there through HS and College, and then another 10 years or so. Knew the entire time I’d come back to raise a family here.

I grew up here until I was almost 12. Moved to Portland. It broke my heart. I swore that someday I'd move back. Presently live in Palisades Heights right behind Lakeridge. This is an area that was part of the old Oswego.

I used to live in what they now call The First Addition. Lived on 10th, 8th, 6th and second, always between 'B' and 'D' except I think our 10th st. house was on 'D'.

My mom always invited the Oswego High School band to practice at our house. Sounded like a bunch of noise to me as a very young child. My dad was a bricklayer at the time. He would come home all hot, sweaty and dusty and immediately start taking his clothes off as soon as he got in the front door and head for the bath tub. There were no showers in those days. So, the first day the band practiced at our house they're jamming away when my dad comes home and starts undressing. He looks up and sees the band the band is staring at him with eyes wide open and everyone is pretty surprised except me 'cause I was too young to know any better. LOL, I still chuckle whenever I remember that.

Tryon Creek was my playground and a great place to go fishing, skip rocks and have a picnic. Now, you can't pick up a leaf or touch a stone. It's so different, better but different.

I remember the history of this town going back to the late 40s until 1959 when we moved.

well, this suspect is dumber than the average, run-of-the-mill Taliban member. Based on the charge document:
a) if he purposefully mailed non-functional "bombs", but still included the 4 parts that allow the FBI to classify it as a bomb (trigger, charge, power supply, detonator), he still gets the full treatment of Title 18 (as an "IED", instead of just "unmailable material" or "mailing a threat to the President", which is what ricin and anthrax senders have in common with lithium battery mailers and carries 5 to 10 years). If he'd just, for instance, mailed a stick of C4 and a pocketwatch, the same effect happens ("BOMB SCARE!!") but he doesn't go away for "IED"s.
b) if he did expect it to go off, then he's dumb because even (literal) uneducated and illiterate goat-herders can figure out how to make explosives go boom when you want them to
c) if he did everything with knowledge that someone high up would take care of him later, he's too dumb to know that any out-of-the-ordinary monetary transfer going to him, his family or any known associates will be flagged for the rest of their lives and grounds for conspiracy later on.

Edit: Though if some of the reporting is real, and there was only inert "explosive material", then I don't think he can be convicted, based on the charge sheet. He's back to "mailing threats".

When I was a kid, the other kids despised, Japanese, Germans, Italians, Asians of all persuasions, Latin Americans, Jews, Catholics and, of course, African-Americans were always at the bottom. So, in that respect, they certainly weren't Left.

However, go to the corner of Kruse and Boones Ferry, about a block from where my aunt and uncle had their business at the current site of Hasson Reality, and you'll often find demonstrators opposed to Trump.

Im tired of the dem's thinking their way of thinking is the only way and if you don't swallow it hook line and sinker they will put you down, like is done in here by many. Im against all hate right and left. I am also a capitalist as I still believe in the American dream and the ability for you and I, to have achieved, some prosperity form free/or mix enterprse markets. Im tired of conservatives being so set in their ways that compromise is almost impossible. I believe that compromise is possible.
I am also for a strong immigration policy that makes since and is manageable. Im not for allowing caravans of others to just push their way into our country. I wouldn't allow anyone I didn't know push their way into my home. Now if you asked me for help and to possibly assist I'm always open for that, but i need to manage with caution for safety sake. I don't think all these in the caravan are really refugees ,but ones that want to experience our American ways, which is great, but come legally or go to POI for asylum. If all the people in Central & south America just decided to go north push their way in our country w/o regards to our laws or custom of obeying the law we lose total control.
Because I have feeling like I have shared, I get attacked for it by liberals who just accuses me of being a conservation wasp, which in their mind is a bad thing. Im as moderate as a guy can get for the most part.
I have respect for those that have different beliefs and don't attack them, because I would be wrong too. It would be cool as long as we are all civil and work for what makes for good decent community.

All parties should preach ,We The People need to come together, even with our differences, and get back to what made this country great.

Some will be allowed entry on a provisional basis pending adjudication and others will have to remain in temporary facilities, again, until the adjudication process is completed one way or another. I'm against shooting them dead at the border or shipping Millions of them in box cars back to Mexico.
Here's why I support the Democrats. I support them because due to the current Republican Party's unwillingness to stand up to Trump on anything, the Democrats are the only thing separating us from disaster at this time.

I want someone who's fiscally conservative and all for social justice such as treating minorities and women equal to everyone else. Let's include transgenders and homosexuals.

I want someone who's going to work for education such that everyone gets a fair and square shot at the American Dream. This means supporting excellence in our public schools.

I want healthcare for everyone here. EVERYONE. I don't want to hear how it's too expensive. Tell that to some poor family with a loved one going through agony because they can't afford to see a doctor when they're in pain.

I want everyone who wants to work to have a job. This means low paying jobs in government service for anyone willing to show up for work.

I want to breath clean air and drink clean water and I don't want contributing to sea level rise, gigantic masses of ocean garbage, the death of coral reefs, increasing heat waves, places of increasing drought, hurricanes and typhoons that constantly break records, forest fires that break records, disappearing species at an alarming rate, starvation beyond our worst fears, stupid wars, etc.

These wants are all the result of my moral learnings and acceptance from church and my parents and I try to socialize with people who follow a similar morality.
