Don't tell me that you are also surprised by the "revelation" that Krstic might not be returning.</div>
For me, it's not about being shocked, it's about not wanting to believe it might happen.
I can see why they would trade him, but I'm hoping the team holds on to him. I'd hate for the Nets to let him go, and then he becomes the "next big thing" on another team in a couple years.
Yes, he doesn't have a position yet, and yes, he's a goofball, but he seems to be getting stronger (solidifying himself at the 4), and his antics seems to be on the funny side (or wrong place, wrong time) and not the cancerous side.
He didn't have the greatest, or most consistent summer league, but I saw some offensive moves out there that blew my mind, and the tenacity with which he shut down Beasley was amazing.
He's supposedly only been playing basketball since he was 15, and I think with more coaching, he can play a Paul Milsap/Jason Maxiell role for now, and hopefully turn into something much bigger later on.

Historically, the Nets don't pay to develop kids on their roster. Sean was the singular exception to this. He may develop into a decent player--but if that happens, it will occur right around when his contract is about to expire.
I suspect he has decent trade value right now--certainly more than Marcus. They could use him to get rid of a couple of players they don't want. Earlier I proposed moving Sean, Swift, and Hassell for Okafor--I agree that probably isn't the best move, but you might be able to find something similar involving a different player.
