with the way the knicks have their payrolls....I'm guessing their janitor

It says they will let him walk if he doesn't pick up his option, which he already did.

Who do u want from the Knicks if we sign and trade. I know it says their gonna pick him up as a free agent, but they got their eye on Duhon right now, as a free agent and been linked to have offered a 2yr- 11.5 mil contract . So what do u want back if this happens. Trade him or not? Thoughts.</div>
They got their eyes on telfair, too

I'd want a 6 million expiring contract back; oh wait...

we don't have to sign him to a six million per year contract, do we?
we could sign him to a 2 million per yr or so and maybe get balkman and maybe even mardy collins or nate robinson.

he's already signed for 6.2M next year.

Try to steal pick/youngin from 'em, too. Similar to the Jefferson deal....

If possible. It's highly unlikely that's possible though, IMO

There's no way the Knicks trade one of their young players for a 29 year old underachiever who averaged 6 points. No expiring contracts either.

I love this new regime!

Future pick, future I mean years down the road. The Phoenix did it with the Marbury trade. I think the Knicks' 2010 first round goes the Suns in that deal, and that trade was made a few years ago. The Knicks wont give up anything more than a Rose, so might as well stock up on draft picks.

Nope, all bets are off now that Isiah is out of there. Even then, that was more of a fun joke than any realistic means for supporting a ridiculous roster move.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ffz @ Jul 3 2008, 02:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Why is swift even in the league?</div>

Well for one thing he's in the league to make 6.2M next season.

Swift can go where ever he wants to.

I just want his contract or the contract we get for him to NOT effect our plans for 2010.

Not really when both are sitting on the bench.

Rose is a two time champion while Swift is the birdman.
