In the past, the Blazers have had a tendency to play down to the level of some of their crappier opponents. No such let down tonight. It was a welcome sight.

This was much more like April 2009 than January 2009, to be sure. I'm enthused by the reminder that we can be this good!

You may have expected it, but I would not recommend taking it for granted.

Our two home wins over Minnesota last season were by a total of 6 points.

We beat them exactly a year ago, November, 8, 2008 by a score of 97-93 and on March 7, 2009 by a final score of 95-93. I was at both of those games - on the edge of my seat hoping the Blazers would manage to eek out a home win against a vastly inferior opponent.

I expected a blow-out. :dunno:

So, let's look at our 2 data points...when Roy and Miller have been in the starting lineup together:

Pts / Asst / Reb

SA
Roy 24 / 2 / 5
Miller 10 / 4 / 6

MINN
Roy 2 / 7 / 6
Miller 21 / 3 / 4

I guess I don't see the :ohno: trend here. I know there may be a continued period of adjustment, but I don't think that a single data point is a cause for concern...but... "Every silver lining's got a Touch of Grey".

I never said I was freaking out. I said I noticed something. Others freaked out about me noticing something.

You should have taken Portland with the points then, because Vegas certainly didn't.

Well, I still sucked in the prediction game, although I did notice I tied for the margin "victory".

Thank GOD! Finally a good song to get stuck in my head!

I will get by...

And, not so much anymore.

She's got the look (she's got the look)
She's got the look (she's got the look)
What in the world can make a brown-eyed girl turn blue
When everything I'll ever do I'll do for you
And I go la la la la la
She's got the look

II do worry a bit about Roy at this point, though. Miller leading the team in shots while Roy gets 2 points will not translate into championships. It's a work in progress, and again, I'm very happy about tonight's result.

OK, point taken...please read my :ohno: as "worried".

Also you said we have "Lots of work to do"... I guess it's minor but I think we have a LITTLE work to do. The T'Wolves have a lot of work to do...

Planning a championship parade is a lot of work.
